Hello!

I am pretty much a new cat owner (with my cat being my first real pet) and in the beginning I bought him Nutro Natural Choice kitten food. Which he really liked and ate all the time. My boyfriend has a cat (we introduced them slowly and are still in the process of supervising them while they're playing) and she has a weird dry food allergy. So far she can only eat Iams Naturals dry food, for it is the only thing that does not make her throw up. My kitten on the other hand...can eat EVERYTHING. I literally mean everything...we call him puppycat because he is constantly eating stuff off the kitchen floor,  carpet....etc. If it's on the floor and it looks like paper or food he will pretty much eat it.

Anyways,

So after Nutro Natural Choice, we tried Nutro Max Cat, which made my boyfriend's cat whose name is Wanda sick to her stomach after she had been eating it for a month. Immediately after she ate it, she would throw it up, and throw it up everywhere. Bunsen my kitten, could actually eat it and not throw up, but he would get diarrhea. So we immediately stopped that food and put Wanda back on her Iams and Bunsen got new dry food Purina One Smart Blend. Which apparently is terrible...I like to describe it as Hot pockets for cats (Hot pockets do not really have any type of real food ingredient...tasty though!).

I have recently been thinking about switching them both to Blue Buffalo Wilderness dry and wet food. They are currently still finishing off the Purina One Smart Blend (none of them have gotten sick from it) and have Fancy Feast wet food.

I just wanted other Furr Baby mom's opinions on what they think is best or have had a good experience with.

I really just want my cats to have the best food they can get since that is all they would be eating all the time. Wanda I know is a much more difficult tummy to settle but if someone has an suggestions it would be awesome.

Sorry this is so long. I have a long complicated kitty family.

Thank you for your time.

Are you up for a raw food diet?  If not than go for a good grain free canned food.  These can be pricey so budget could play a part in your decision making but grain free is a must.  There are numerous to choose from but I would take a hard look at the following:

Tiki Cat - None fish variety are best

Natures Variety

Weruva  - No carrageenan varieties only

Hounds and Gatos

Addiction - no carrageenan varieties only

Nature Variety will be the easiest one to locate of this group but all five are top quality.

As for dry food I would try and avoid unless you can not get your youngsters to eat wet.  Again if you must purchase dry go for a grain free variety with some of the best available being:

Wellness Core Grain Free

Natures Variety

Orijen or Arcana
