There is a orange and white cat in our town and I think the cat is a she-cat but not sure.

she is a full grown cat I think and I think I am dying. because I was just wandering around the park one day and saw her.

I just love cats, so i went to a bench near her and sat down. I didn't do anything, just looked at her and, BOOM! she suddenly just came over and

sat on my lap. It was winter so i just kind of blocked the wind from her and she seemed pretty happy. but it was getting late so i tried to stand up but  every time i did that, she growled and slightly bit me. good thing i was wearing a parka! anyway, every time i did anything that showed i was going, she growled. but finally she went away and i think she was on my lap for 2 hours. and it happened again the fallowing week. i don't think she wants me to keep her just let her be on my lap. funny thing is, she only likes being on my lap not me petting or anything. I wonder why?

but also the most sad thing is, when she goes away i feel REALLY sad. maybe because i don't have a cat? it's always like that.

even when i go to the cat cafe i fell so happy, and when i go home i fell so sad. but i can't get a cat because my mom and dad and brother will freak.

does anyone else have this problem? and i really want to be friends with this cat.

I think you shall make a persuasion campain with your family.  :)   "Garfield for cat owner!"     :)

You must also plan some.  I suppose you go to high school now, so in one or two years you will go to college.   And quite a few student camps dont allowe residing cats...

so, either the cat must stay with your parents - whom thus must see themselves as co-owners.   OR you plan the whole time you are staying in a flat where they do allow a resident cat.

Good luck!

OK, but my suggestion stands still.  A healthy properly cared for cat may live even 20 years, so whatever you do, you must plan for a long run.  And the easiest part is to have your parents as parts of the deal.  ESPECIALLY as you are young.  They are the  formally in charge, no?

Try to make it a deal.  You perhaps do some extra duties in the home, taking your responsibility for extra chores.  And they allow you to have the cat, and take some responsibility them too for the cat, now being a part of the household.

I remember my first cat here in Sweden, when I was a kid.  My father wasnt fond of cats, and thus, not of little Sari either.  But one day, what do I see?  My father taking a little nap on the sofa, as he did sometimes.  Sari peacefully taking HER little nap on his chest.   And he lying there now awake, not moving for a good while till she awoke by herself and left.

Afterwards he explained:  I didnt wanted to disturb her, now when she slept so peacefully.   After that day, his resistance was broken.  Even if it was still I who got to clean the litter.   :)
