My 5 month old kitten was sitting on the couch with me and just threw up out of nowhere. She seems fine otherwise, but now I will keep an eye on her and make sure she is eating, drinking and using the litter box ok.
This might be a dumb question but can cats (animals) get the stomach bug from humans? My daughter has been home sick with that the past few days. She is actually better and just went back to school today.
Any thoughts and advice are welcome,

Cats don't get colds or stomach bugs from us. Your kitten mit of just had a hair ball or just got to worked up and threw up. But kittens tend to get into every thing just like baby's. Just keep on eye on your kitten and report back

Depends on what was in it, to be honest. My cat Alice used to gorge herself on kibble right after we fed her, then throw it back up minutes later. Dinah had such long fur she frequently got hairballs, Siphone would eat the handles off of plastic bags we left unattended for longer than a minute, and throw those up. Josie ate a wasp once and threw it up right after. Just pay attention to whats in the puke.
