Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) is coming to the US the latter part of this year. On October 13, he will be at the Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh, PA.

And we have tickets! I just ordered them.

With the tickets, I will also get a free copy of his new Tracker CD!

 Awesome! I have a couple of his solo cds, and I liked Dire Straits. He's a very talented songwriter - more of a storyteller if you know what I mean? That's a long way in advance to get tickets; you've got a while to build up the anticipation!

We couldn't believe the tickets went on sale so soon for an October concert. We really wanted the Connecticut venue, but that sold out quickly (and that's not til October). The good seats at the Albany, NY venue sold out quickly and so did the really good seats at Heinz Hall. I was afraid to wait any longer because everything would have been sold out. It's amazing how quickly those tickets were sold. I think it's because they're smaller venues.

I'm excited. Rick, not so much, but he said he'd go with me. We'll spend the night in Pittsburgh, then hit Penzey (for spices) on the way home. It will be a nice two day vacation. (And since it's mid-October, maybe we won't have any snow yet.)

I know what you mean about him being more of a storyteller; that's pretty much it. I really like him.

I've had tickets since December for a concert next October. They went on sale so early.

I am excited for you Pam. I don't know this group. Guess I am too old to know who they are. My music love is bluegrass and bluegrass gospel. We have tickets for a large concert with some great stars in Feb., so I understand how excited you are. Hope you have a wonderful time.

I finally got the email about getting the Tracker CD. Hopefully I should get it right around the time it comes out (March 17).

Barbara, you enjoy your concert, too. I hope you have a wonderful time!
