Outdoor Heated Cat Shelters and Bowl to keep water from freezing

A friend told me about this company that has a good collection of cat pads and shelters designed to be used outdoors.  I have not been able to get beyond the first page to see individual details on these (could be the storm has disrupted their web) but the friend has one of the little houses and her ferals love it.  I thought I would share it here for those of you who have only a few ferals and might want to give them some luxury.  Also the heated bowls can keep the water from freezing, at least for a while.

I have the heating pad and the water bowl.  I have three ferals that sleep together so I use an insulated dog house with a chicken warming light. I love the heating pad and the water bowl only froze around the top edge once in the last two years, but it was -12 degrees.

I have quite a few of the K&H products and am happy with all of them.  I have numerous outdoor heat pads, the tent looking structure as well as the heated food bowls.  The heated food bowl is amazing.  It works so well to keep the food from freezing.  I have been using it off and on all winter.  Yesterday I set it out when it was 10 degrees and the food was still fresh later in the afternoon.  The only hassle is that I don't leave food at at night so I have to unplug it and bring it inside.  With the cold weather, the thick plug is hard to get unplugged. 

If you get the house with the heating pad, be sure and test the pad to make sure it works. If it works, when you press on it for a minute or two you'll feel the warmth. I bought a K&H house with heated pad online a few years ago and by the time I discovered that the heating pad didn't work, it was too late for a refund. I had a Petsmart employee test it for me to make sure it really didn't work. They don't get very warm because they heat up to the cat's normal body temperature, but they should get warm when you press on it. Don't make the mistake I did and not test it when you get it.
