My cat's ear is really freaking itchy. She doesn't mess with it all the time, but when she does she'll clean and scratch it quite a lot and sometimes shake her head. I suspect a yeast infection but I can't afford to take her to the vet at the moment. I think its bugging her doubly so because she had ear mites in the past and she's got scars from it. I don't think the mites have returned though cause I used a little cotton swab to check her out and it came back clean, no black stuff at all. I could be wrong though, I'm certainly no vet. Are there any home remedies to help her out? Or at least something to ease the itching until I can get her proper treatment? Or is she just gonna have to wait out until i can get her to the vet?

Hmm... if you can't find any debris, it's most likely not mites. They do sell ear cleaning drops/solution at pet shops, so you can always give cleaning her ears a shot. If it's an infection of some kind, like you said, she'll need to see a vet to get some real relief.

Hope your cat feels better soon! Nothing more annoying than an itchy ear!
