I know at the moment I'm struggling a bit with a stray kitty and thank you for the advice given.  However, over the years, even though I've always had my own cats, ferals/strays seem to find me.

It can be so hard getting them to trust you.  They repay you a hundred times over and it's well worth in helping these kitties.

Few years back a very old cat appeared in my garden, he was starving, not many teeth and deaf.  I took him in and had the best 18mths with him until sadly he passed away.  Here's a picture of him enjoying his home comfort.

I can't forget Lucy who I found with kittens!  She was feral.  Kittens were found a home and Lucy was taken to vets to be neutured - that wasn't easy!  She then became part of our family and lived for many years.

It's an interesting thing, it's like they know who's going to help them. I remember when I took a small kitten in, he was crying so loud at night and when I opened the door he was there waiting to get in he has been with me since then until he passed away a few years back.

Yep I was getting into my car and a tiny kitty maybe 2 months old came up to my and rubbed her face on my pants and woukdnt stop rubbing up against my pant leg. She was clearly attacked by and animal and had a mangled tail but she won my heart over at how effectionate she was although something awhile happened to her. It's been years since I had a kitten but she picked me and I'm hers they always know where to find us all my cats are former strays.

I'm a little teary over the lovely shot of the gorgeous old man who found you;  at least in his final year and a half he knew love and comfort.

I know Mani, I just wish I could have had him longer but as you say, at least he was loved and cared for.  At the time I had two other cats but they seemed to accept him.
