It's National Peanut Butter Day!

So, do you like peanut butter? Crunchy or Smooth? What brands?




I love peanut butter and prefer all natural chunky. :nod:

Oh god I am so hungry, haha. I like smooth peanut butter! I would love something smothered in a smooth Thai peanut sauce tight now, hrrrngghh.

Oh man!! It seems cruel sometimes that DH & I love our peanut butter but have a kid with a peanut allergy. We can sneak something to celebrate later!

My fav is natural & creamy honey peanut butter! DH likes the natural crunchy! If I'm making a samdwich I prefer regular creamy peanut butter though. My normal alternative is maple almond butter! Its almost crunchy in texture but so tasty!! I put it on toasted English muffins for breakfast. Yummy!!

Love! Smooth one for me. I used to eat directly out of the jar as a kid using my fingers, then get grounded because everyone else in the family is grossed out and won't touch the whole jar anymore.  

i absolutely adore peanut butter! i prefer the smooth on pb & j sandwiches and on toast. since it's just me in my home, i eat the crunchy peanut butter by the spoonful out of the jar. i don't eat peanut butter that often, but i always have some on hand. i also make some wonderful peanut butter brownies.

brands...i love jif, but most times buy wegmans brand because i can buy it in 48 ounce jars for a good price.

well, since it's national peanut butter day i'll make sure to have some!

Chunky only for our house! We both dearly love peanut butter. I eat it right from the jar, too. I think Rick does, too, but I just haven't caught him at it.

I can't have it often, it gives me horrible acid reflux.
I lived on it when pregnant with my first with no issues . After that ugh acid reflux.
I still grab a spoon or half a sandwhich causr its soooo yummy , but then I have to hit my Zantac.

I prefer smooth peanut butter, Skippy brand. I tried Jif brand once and it was way too sugary and gross for my taste

Oh yes, I do love peanut butter. I only buy Jif smooth.

Another vote for all natural chunky. I buy smooth though because that's what DD likes.

I like it on a spoon with a little marshmallow fluff on it. A fluffernutter without the bread!!

Man this thread is making me hungry...  I want to make cookies; even if my kids can't eat them!  Does that make me a bad Mom? 

When I used to go to my Grandparent's house after school my Gram would give me a tablespoon with peanut butter on it as a snack.  I loved it!  I'm pretty sure she always got the Jiff brand.  Today is her 90th birthday; so this is a nice memory to have today. 

I love jif chunky peanut butter mmmm.

How could I have missed such an important day? I love chunky peanut butter. As to brands, I buy what I can get here (Germans aren't big on peanut butter, and mostly British brands are available).

Jiff Natural, smooth. Out of the jar w/ a spoon, on apples, in celery, & also love to dip carrots in it!  

Organic only as they tend to to awful things to the peanuts over here.  Love it with honey..

Ooh, this hurts. No pb in house and now I want some! I like natural crunchy--but Jif smooth. Er--minus the jelly. That's an abomination in my book.

My favourite food is peanutbutter. I eat it straight from the jar. Sometimes I have smooth. Sometimes I have crunchy. It depends on what mood I am in. I buy Kraft no added salt or sugar. I've been told not to eat it at the moment I did sneak one spoonful last night shhh that's between you and me. Oh now I just want some. Yummy yum yum.
