Squeek

To Squeek, the Hyundai cat.

It was pouring rain. My best friend went out to feed the colony, opened her van door, and you hopped in. Thus caught, you were vetted, your wounds disinfected, your matts removed, and neutered. You were supposed to be a TNR cat, but you came to live with us instead.

Once inside, you embraced your creature comforts. Soft pillows and sunbeams, hours of catnaps. You got along with the other cats, you were friendly with us. When you got restless, I harness-trained you, and we spent lots of time lounging outside in the grass and going for walks.

You never ate well, even from the beginning. There were times when you had to be hand-fed. You seemed to relish spitting the food back at me. You liked to boss the foster kittens. You loved catnip.

We all miss you Squeek.

I'm so sorry for your loss, they have a way of worming their way into our hearts. May you be blessed for giving this sweet little soul a home, it sounds like Squeek had a wonderful life with his family. I know their presence is missed so much, it is so hard to accept that they are truly gone from our lives. But they are never gone from our hearts, little Squeek will be remembered and loved as long as you are alive, safe and happy. One day, in time you will remember him with smile instead of tears, and that hole in your heart will begin to fill with joy once again. Thank you for letting us know of this special cat, I'll save a special place for you both in my prayers. Take care...... RIP beautiful Squeek!
