I work with a rescue group in Los Angeles, and we have had a very hard year in regards to FeLV+ cases; more than 15 this year.  We do not have a facility, as we rely on fosters.  These cats are mostly adults, although we have a few under 1year.

Does anyone know of a sanctuary or FeLV+ rescue in California that might be able to assist?  of course we can contribute financially.  We do not want to euthanize these cats, as they are otherwise healthy and have the potential to live a year or more.  We'd even welcome adopters or long-term fosters; anything!  Please help!

Hi Tracie,

I have recently been dealing with Cat House on the Kings in Parlier CA, and I know they have an area for felv pos cats.

There is quite a substantial surrender fee, but this can also be worked out. In other words, they will swap out several kittens over a years time in lieu of fee.

Might want to contact them/Lynea there.

Honestly, it's like a trip to Disneyland, this place is beyond unbelievable, cat heaven on earth, literally.

I realize this is an old posting but I wanted to give you another name. The Nine Lives Foundation in Redwood City CA. is a wonderful no -kill cat sanctuary. They take Felv cats and give them a home for the rest of their lives if needed. If in the future you need to place Felv cats I KNOW they will help you.
