Hi I have a very pregnant cat that should be due any day now. For the last week or two Everytime I put my hand on her belly her kittens are very active and can pretty much move my hand, she's a very affectionate cat but today every time I touch her belly she gets annoyed and is wagging her tail even when no one is near her. Does anyone know if the kittens will be coming very soon?

Yes, it sounds like she should deliver any day now if you can see and feel movement. Everything you've described sounds normal.

We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

Finally, I hope you will strongly consider getting your girl spayed after this litter.  Some of the many benefits of spaying can be found here http://www.thecatsite.com/a/spay-and-neuter-your-cats

Agian good luck.

I strongly recommend that you spay your cat after her litter. It's normal for kittens to be active inside the womb. However, that doesn't indicate labor.

I agree, only a vet can tell if it's normal or worth keeping an eye on. And they should spay the cat after her litter, let's hope it's her first and last litter.
