back feet nails short :\

I notice it my cat Shylo's back feet of nails are short not even sharp and I wasn't sure how he got short nails? I didn't trim hi back feet of claws hmm that's odd and I'm take him to vet on Wed. Morning. Here pic and if anyone can tell me about this. My mom saoi it will grow back but this is odd short :S both feet in back are short. His front feet nail are fine sharp and I do trim the only front not in his back cause it Need for straches

One of my cats keeps his back claws nice and short all by himself ,  When we take him in to have his claws trimmed, they only charge us half price because they never need to do his back ones ,    Our groomer asked us if we had a tree in our house that he climbed!  I said "no", but that he runs around like crazy on our tile floors.  The groomer said that's what does it.  He grinds his claws down on the floors by running all over the place. 

Now that he's getting a little older and not quite so active, l'm guessing they'll start growing a little bit.

I almost never trim my cats' back nails.  They keep them filed down running around on tile floors, up and down cat trees, and they go outside and climb up and down real trees.  I cut their front nails regularly.

Yeah, same - the contact with hard floors tends to keep the back paw nails blunt and not sharp like the retracted front claws. There was one time I managed to clip two of Kismet's back nails very slightly, not because she needed it, but I was just curious if she would let me do it.

Sorry for not post so long.. I already took him to vet and he said it look good nothing wrong with it.. Now his nails grow back not full grow just half grow ..yah shylo and meeko stillrunning around play
