Personally I would not give both goats milk and kmr, one or the other, as that makes 3 types of milk she is getting and is likely to cause gas and a hard tummy that is uncomfortable.

If she seems constipated then she is not getting enough liquids.
Liquid pre mixed kmr tends to constipate for some darn reason, I always go with the powder.

If she continues to strain but doesn't poop, start adding a couple of drops of mineral or vegetable oil to her formula.
I didnt know this! Damn liquid formula! ...momma kitty will drink it then lol. As for the goats milk and kmr which should i use. I hear goats milk is veryy good but kmr has many many minerals and vitamins

I would go with the powder kmr.

She worries me, she MUST gain every single day.

Even one day where it's extra low gain, less than 6 grams could mean trouble for her.

She is VERY delicate and we want her to live, grow and thrive!!

To my stupidity. She now has gas u.u i am bad kitty momma. She likes when i rub her tummy but i camt seem to relieve the gas. What to do? Btw shes gaining weight. I can see it. Even if the scales low her arms are thicker and i no longer feel bones so easily. She now has a fat layer between the skin and bones which makes me less scared to hold her....as for the gas What do i do??

I also just heard that the powdered kmr i was feeding her before i started goatsmilk the one she really liked sold at walmart (hartz) is apprently crud...i cant afford to buy anything more. I still have goats milk and no. No shelter will help. Infact humanesociety wanted $80 a kitten for them to "rescue" them u.u i wont feed the liquid anymore but she liked the powder...i even had very thin like her mothers milk. As of right now do to her gas and the fact i went out of my way to by goats milk. Im feeding her drops of goatsmilk watered down a bit with a dot of olive oil. She doesnt want to eat but i am geting her to lick it off her lips. And no i cannot for the life of me find a normL sized syringe. Even petsupermarket didnt have one. So ill just spend the extra effort and do it my way until she can suckle the bottle

The Hartz isn't so much that it's crap, but every so often I will hear about a kitten who seems allergic to it or something. Sudden vomiting, etc. but only occasionally.

Feed it if that is what you have now, just watch for signs, but doubt she is getting enough to react to it anyway, she's got her moms milk as her main source.

Glad she is gaining.

The gas will have to subside on it's own, she is too delicate to give her anything for it. Too small too.

However if you hold her up on your shoulder and pat her back often and a good amt of pressure it will help it rise to the top and burp it out, just as you would burp a human baby.

Rub her tummy as well.

I thi k what it is,is that harts measurments are a bit off. It seems to thick when measured there way. Powder plus thick. I can see the reason for puking. Anywho as of 3 weeks he brother is 10 oz and sister 9 oz and out weigh her and kick her off the nipples....constantly play referee and gaurd her and her nipple (she grabs the good one lol) but she has strength. I didnt mean to make her sound so bad. Or maybe she was and is better. Shed just small framed and small in general. Her teeth are coming in like theirs are. And she has the force to push my hand away when angry about feeding...but i really do think she was born a few stages behind and somehow managed to live. Her eye goo cleared up its now just a mucusy white after naps. She really does look a 1 week. So i treat her that way and i probably will be keeping her. I cant imagine giving something i nursed from bones and skin to anyone to accidently loose or worse. Though i am new at this. Ive had many cats but never babies. So ill probably be back we a thousand more questions. I gave her half a teaspoon goats milk and tiny bit olive oil. It stoped her tummy grumbles and her sighs. I dont know how but that mean im sticking to slightly watered goats milk for now.

Runt had relasp....overnight. I assume its from lack of nutrition. She cant walk. But still fights to crawl. And will swallow when neck is rubbed. So im trying to feed her as much as i can since shes not fighting the milk anymore. I assumed mother was feeding her at night but i guess she stoped...god i seriously am starting to hate momma cat.

Ay gevalt, bad news, and bad reading.  When you discussed liquid or powder kmr, I and probably Catwoman though you meant the KMR brand.  Where their pulver-version is awesome, the liquid  not so good, but still OK.    But it was Hartz...

In that postition, go all out for the goat milk, especielly as you do have fresh goat milk.  There is no difficulty to choose any longer.

Good luck!   @TWCkittenmom

Im deep sorry, I truly I am...  Such happens, some make it, and some not.  As a weak but yet consolation, YOU yourself will be more knowleable, stronger, yet better prepared next time you are caretaker of a weak runt...   And so will be I.

RIP little one!
