Albon for diarrhea

I posted perviously about my now 7 week old kitten with diarrhea. He's eating and playing normally and my vet said his temp and everything is normal. He tested negative for worms/parasites but perscribed him Albon for the diarrhea anyways. It's been about 5 days since he's had diarrhea. Has anyone given their fur babies Albon before? Does it really work? I such a paranoid cat mom!

I've not used Albon, but if the diarrhea comes back, ask for the fecal pcr panel to test for other causes of diarrhea not picked up on the fecal test done at the vet's office.

I have a cat who gets diarrhea/loose stools when he's on a strictly all grain-free diet.  This started when he was about 7-8 mos old.  We feed him 90% grain free and 10% prescription food.  It works for him.

I have grain free wet food and a can of perscription food that I'm trying. It's only been one day though so there's been no change yet. I haven't tried mixing the two though but the grain free food didn't make a difference.

We feed Innova EVO canned grain free (turkey & chicken and Venison flavors) and then he gets a little bit of Taste of the Wild dry (grain free) and Royal Canin Gastrointestinal HE (prescription dry food from the vet).  It's the combo dry that keeps his poops firmed up.
