It's important to deworm regularly, specially if you know he has had worms. The regular vet schedule is the following:
4 weeks

6 weeks

8 weeks

12 weeks (/3 months)

4 months

5 months

6 months

every 3 months
Because your kitten had worms, I suggest you keep to this schedule tightly until he's at least 6 months old. So that means he needs to be dewormed again around now (12 weeks) and then every month until he's 6 months or older. However, if you plan to get him vaccinated (he should get his 2nd vaccin around 12 weeks) don't deworm him the same day or a day or 2 before/after, as it's too hard on the kitten.

If you are going for his vaccin you can also let your vet feel your kittens belly and to check on worms, as you are there already then anyway.

A cat belly with just some fat will feel soft and just go with your touch, a bloated belly however will feel harder and not as resilient as the normal belly. It would feel unnatural.

I would suggest either deworming him now and make an appointment for getting him his vaccine in a couple of days + a check, or the other way around (vaccine > deworming)

Good luck, I hope your kitten is fine!
