Hydration is important to nurcing felines.

They can not produce milk if dehydrated.

As mentioned above,  a good diet is also helpful.

You do not need to go out & buy your feline a "steak & egg" breakfast, but normal canned cat food productes supply the normal nutrition for a feline. (after birthing, let them eat as much as they want for 6-8 weeks)

Eggs, (both whites & yoke)  should be offered daily. (they are cheep)

I also keep & drink "Buttermilk".

i notice my new mother loves that & she may have as much as she wants.

Whipping Cream also will bring back the weight she lost during the pregancy/birthing, although she should not have a stead diet of this (causes diaria)

Tuna & salmon are good sourses of protien, but canned cat food has every bit of nutrients & less expensive.

I have 3 cats (2 male, 1 femail) & had 5 kittens born last night (i will find good homes for them all)

Spay-Neuter is what the responsible pet owner do, but i wanted to have my female to have a litter before i have her fixed

Common sence will guide you through this.

It is not Rocket Science !!!
