You'll receive a diversity of opinions about whether kibble is bad or not on this site, however, the following site, by a vet, provided me with the most compelling reasons 15 years ago to avoid feeding kibble to cats: catinfo.org.
My vet told me about this website. After several episodes of urinary issues, we switched to only grain free, wet good, and had no more problems. After seeing many friends and family lose cats to kidney disease, or suffering major urinary related problems, from living on a diet of only kibble, I am convinced that an all kibble dry diet, many times, contributed greatly to those health problems.
I know I feel better eating more than just dry cereal all the time. I get all my nutrition from eating a variety of things, not just one thing, highly processed, dry, full of synthetic vitamins. I'm sure it'd keep me alive - but it'd probably be hard on all my organs. I wouldn't want to live on just canned stew, either. I feel much better eating fresh food. My kitties do, too.
