Speedy recovery! Hope all goes well and you're back home with your kitties!
That's the hardest part. I miss them so much!! My neighbour is looking after them. He lives across the hall and adores cats! Mine don't really adore him though! They're so used to it being only me and them.

Yesterday when my Brother was here, I gave him instructions about what to do about my cats if something happens to me during the anongiogram. I told him that if they can't take them in, that Spencer and Katie are to go to a no kill animal shelter, and that I don't want Abby spending her last months/years in a cage being that she is a senior kitty (16 1/2). His wife said that they would take them all into their home and look after them. I don't know if she said that to calm me down, or if she really meant it. But I'm happy that I have made arrangements for them to be cared for.

Abby is such a cuddle bug and she spoons with me when we sleep and wake up. I am missing that the most. :(

I had some chest pain, which for me is really "back pain between my shoulder blades" today. I didn't know if it was back pain related, or heart related. And it wasn't really a pain more like a very mild discomfort between my shoulder blades. But it was along the lines of how it started before it got so bad. So I called the nurse and she gave me some nitro spray, and it went away. Plus because I had back pain from an earlier walk, she gave me a couple of Tylenol #3.

My nephew and his girl friend came up today. Love them to pieces! Was nice to see them. My Brother's ex wife is coming to see me tomorrow. He divorced her, but I never did!! Love her to pieces too! Monday some of my former co-workers from when I worked at the hospital are coming to see me on Monday.

My roommate who was admitted today is a sweetheart. She's older, but very spry and active. I actually had a chuckle today. I was watching Fantasy Island on Netflix. In a scene there was a woman who was moaning and groaning and panting and ugging while trying to get out of a wrecked car. Total overacting on the part of the actress. My roommate peeked around the curtain at me!!!

Now that isn't funny on it's own. But it is when you combine it with the fact that she is a NUN!!! LOL I can only imagine what was going though her mind about what was going on on the other side of the curtain! LOL

Very scary - I hope all goes well.

My grandma had a quadruple bypass last year without any pain or symptoms beforehand. The doctor caught something off on a routine appointment and sent her straight to the hospital to be transferred to a heart specialist in another city. At first we thought she just needed an angioplasty, and then a single bypass, and then a double bypass, but that third one is partially clogged too. Before we knew it, she was up to quadruple. It was a scary and rapid fire four days of bad news, but she came out of it well and has since recovered well.

All the better if they can act on it quickly - I'm sure you're in good hands.
Several years ago, one of my GFs had a quadruple bypass; she was in her late 50s at the time and she's a diabetic. She's fine now, but has to take quite a few meds. I remember she was in hospital over Thanksgiving and she was upset about that. She kept saying that she didn't feel well and that she was really, really tired. She finally went to the doctor and ended up in hospital.

I can imagine that the hardest part is being away from your kids. And I'm sure that your brother and SIL meant what they said about taking your gang into their home.

Linda, you will be fine. You are a very strong woman and you'll get through this. Whatever the tests show, you'll get through it all. I have so much confidence in you.
And you have a nun for a roommate! How cool is that!

Like pinkdagger and Winchester,  I know others who have had quadruple bipass (two of my friends' fathers).  Both were well and active before hand but suddenly felt ill and ended up in hospital having tests, surgery was what was decided on for them and very extensive, and despite needing such extensive surgery they both recovered very quickly and were back to their active life styles soon afterwards.  Your planning for things happening during your angiogram is like taking an umbrella out - if you plan ahead and have what you might need to use, then you won't need it.
Will be thinking of you on Monday and hope that what ever the medical team decide is best for you is straight forward and you are back with your fur family really soon.

The first few days after are the scariest as it takes a few days for your heart to re-regulate itself and you are aware of every little thing. So important that you received quick treatment. Some meds, more doctor's appointments than you can shake a stick at, some life-style changes, and lots of loving cat snuggles. You are going to be okay. Sending vibes across Lake Superior towards the prairies.

I'm thinking of you too and hope everything went well yesterday. Do let us know when you get a chance! I'm sure you must be very tired today and in need of a lot of rest.
