I am somewhat of a new cat mama to a 9 month old female Russian Blue kitten named River. I got her at about 4 1/2 months old and since I have had her she has been on a mostly canned diet. As of recently, I have been feeding her canned food, Weruva, twice daily (9 AM and 9 PM). I have also been giving her just a little bit of dry food, Natural Choice, during the day. After visiting my local natural pet food store, I am now switching her from Natural Choice to Orijen grain-free Cat & Kitten dry food. The natural pet food store also recommended trying to convert her to a raw diet, which I don't know enough about quite yet, they gave me a few samples to try. River has a sensitive stomach when it comes to food changes. I have a pet fountain for her as well as a couple other water sources around the house to encourage her to drink water, as I know cats have a low thirst drive and it is important for them to remain hydrated. I am trying to figure out the best diet and feeding schedule for my cat and since I am somewhat of a new cat mama, I am open to any suggestions or tips you may have. Thanks in advance!
