Hello! Happy Tuesday :D

Where are your litter box(es) located?

Morgana's is in my room, Camelot's in the laundry room.

Both on opposite walls of the storage room (it's just a room with empty boxes from/for moving).

We have 10 cats, so we only keep one box in the house (for Marge). Our garage, which is only used as a workshop/storage room, houses the other boxes. We installed a cat door in the laundry room's door. We also installed a double-tub laundry sink, with hot water, so we can use the one tub (the other stays "clean"--NEVER used for litter boxes) for scrubbing the litter boxes.  I have a huge trash can on wheels, with a lid--that has a few huge bags of Tidy Cats in it at all times. Another one is the actual trash can for the dirty litter. I try to keep the garage as clean as possible--I sweep the litter up daily, and always have a stack of about 20-24 clean boxes all lined and ready-to-go. We change the one indoor box at least twice (usually 3) times per day, using a totally new box each time. Even though it's for Marge, you can't keep the others out!

Oh, and the little spoiled brats have an electric fireplace in the litter box room for very cold days!

Mia the Minx has one in her room.

The others are put out on the deck every morning and brought into the living room every night. The main reason for keeping them outside during the day is that the kitties often go out and get their paws wet then come in to use the litter box, which means litter sticks to their paws and gets scattered everywhere.

This way I only have to vacuum once a day.

They are both in the laundry closet.  There isn't a lot of spare room in there with them; but it's the best option in the house for now.  DH has lots of ideas on how to get them out of there; but i haven't been "sold" on any yet.

It's in the upstairs hallway, in a corner directly beside the bathroom door. We had a second one in the cellar, but that was put away because Mogli never used it.

Jamie mainly used the upstairs one when he was young. When he reached about 10 he started using the one in the cellar, too. The last year or two of his life he used a third one in a corner of the living room.

In the kitchen
One in the kitchen (it's inside a nice, carpeted box, so you can't really tell there's a litterbox inside. There's a hole in one end for the kids to get in and out. You pull the hinged top up for cleaning. That one has standard cat litter. The kids have always liked that box because they can sit on top and watch the world go by outside the kitchen door.

Three in the bathroom. One is uncovered and uses standard cat litter. The other two are covered and use scoopable.

One in the computer room, which is inside a storage tote and uses scoopable. That used to be Muffin's box when she lived with Mom.

We have a Booda Dome in the bedroom which has scoopable.

All the cats use all the boxes. Some may use one to pee in and another for pooping.

(When we first got Muffin, Mom was using Yesterday's News in her box. Well, she didn't like it at all, evidently, because Mom would complain that Muffin was using her bathtub as a litter box. When she came here, she immediately started using all the other litterboxes, except for her own. And I could tell because Muffin's poop was different than the other cats' (yes, I could tell poop differences because she was eating different food than the other kids were eating). So after we used the last of the Yesterday's News, we threw in some of our regular cat litter. Muffin knew it right away and when Rick put the litter box back in the computer room, she went right in and peed. And we've never had an issue with her using our bathtub as a litterbox. She didn't like that cat litter and I think she was trying to tell Mom that she didn't like it.)

Both are in our main bathroom.  We used to have one of them in the bedroom/office but, the floors were just recently refinished and well, not about to allow them to get ruined again.

We'd love to add a third box but there truly isn't any decent place to fit it.  Both cats share both (large) boxes and there's no fighting for them so its working for us.

Wow, what a set up!  That's a lot of litter work.  :-)

We have one in the laundry room, and one in each bathroom (flushable litter, yay).  There's another box in the Cat Room, and one in the catio.

Two next to the cat flap to the enclosure, and one in my bedroom.  They really like going to the toilet in my bedroom.  What can I say?

I have two inside cats so have one box in the basement, one by the outside door in the sunroom (covered),and one in my bedroom (covered). I tried to eliminate the one in the bedroom when I lost my Chrissy, that was HER box, but when I tried to take it out, Burt started peeing in that corner. So back it went.

...with the cats...
we have four litter boxes, for my two cats. snick has three litter boxes available to her, because she has ckd and is prone to developing UTI's so may need her boxes near to where she is at any given time. snick's litter boxes are located two in the bathroom (one covered and one long under-bed storage bin uncovered), and one covered litter box in one corner of the kitchen. i only have that litter box in the kitchen because snick has some special needs now, but don't prefer to have a litter box in my kitchen normally.  jasper has one long under-bed storage bin uncovered litter box upstairs in his safe room.

surprisingly, jasper never uses snick's litter boxes and snick never uses jaspers litter box. i use the same scoopable litter in all the boxes.

I have 12 boxes.  8 are in the cellar, the door is always open.  3 are in bedrooms upstairs, with baby gates across to keep the dogs out.  Cuddles and Mandy spend their lives in ONE bedroom, they never leave it and start a fight with any cat who enters.  No clue why they are like this.  So 2 in their room.
