I'm fairly certain now that my cat is pregnant (I may be wrong though) but while I'm waiting to find out for sure, I'd like to know what color kittens she could be having, so this is the mother
And this is the father
Also, some of the mothers siblings, and her mom, were black if that makes a difference

They will be tabbies. Not only both mom and dad are tabbies, but tabby is dominant.  I suspect they will have black in them - the stripes at least,  them too - but Im not sure on the exact hereditory on colors.

Btw, the father is a point, you know this?  The masque and the darker points arent very apparent, but the blue eyes reveals him. So he is Lynx point   - lynx = tabby in points. Broken mackerel.

Re the colors, Im as said no expert, but as he is a somewhat funny, fair color, I suspect he must be diluted.  Probably diluted red, ie creme.

And this makes sense; I know since before that with creme points the masque is barely visible.

So father is a carrier of red color.   And the exact outcome for the kittens, I dont know, as said.

If mom is carrier fo point gene, some of the kittens will be pointed, and the others will be carriers.  But if she isnt carrier, none of them will be pointed.  But all will be carriers.

Good luck!

The father carries red? @StefanZ
yes, if it is as I think - he is cremé, which is diluted red.  This means, he has the red gene, but he has also a dilutation gene. And together they become - creme.

But if you being in the real life / having a better monitor, see he isnt creme, so my hypothesis will fall.

@Biancavd    - you are much around here in this forum, and you are good at cat colors, too.  What do you say?

StefanZ StefanZ If he does have the red gene then could some of the kittens be tortie or torbie?

I don't think the father is cream/red. He seems to be a dark lynx point, from the shading of the picture I can't really tell if he's seal or blue but definitely a dark, non-red color. So no torties or calicos unless the mama is a hidden torbie (some cats will have just the tiniest bit of red somewhere on her body and you don't ever know unless she has red kittens ;)). So probably they'll all be dark tabbies, possibly one or two will be pointed if the mother carries the point gene. I wouldn't guess they'd have a lot of white since neither parent does but if you don't know what their ancestors look like there could be some surprises there.

Of course, female cats have quite the habit of meeting with males you never even see, so there could be some big surprises! :lol3:

W Willowy Thanks! I assumed they would be mostly tabbies, but I thought I would get some other opinions first. I'd like to have an idea of what they'll look like that way when I can confirm that she's pregnant I can start getting homes lined up and let people know what they'll possibly be getting. And I'd say the dad is probably blue Lynx point (unless he's not the dad). As much as I didn't want her to have kittens, I'm starting to get excited. [emoji]128514[/emoji]

W Willowy Also, I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but the dad (his name is Bart btw) has a tiny bit of an orangish color around his nose, and I'm not sure what that means for his color.

Mom is, from what I can see, a beautiful Black Tabby Classic. Dad seems to be a Seal Tabby Broken Mackerel Point, though I might be wrong about the Seal. Forgive me if I am. He looks really light on the eye, but if you see the back of his behind paw it seems extremely dark, which will indicate a Black aka Seal point. Same goes for the stripes on his head, it's really black, and not a diluted kind of black. Feel free to share a few more pictures of dad though, so we can be absolutely sure!

Also, about the red around his nose: It's common for tabby cats to have red around their noses. It doesn't mean he's wearing the red gene or anything, it just pops up at some tabby cats for reasons still unknown (as far as I'm informed). I recently had a kitten with the same. Here is his picture so you can compare it ;) This kitten is a Black Tabby Classic (with an obvious red nose):

Now onto the kitten prediction. It pretty much has been said above, but I'll tell you what I think, and you can take all of our answers as your prediction. (My prediction is based on the pictures of the mom and dad above. If the dad is some other cat, be up for some surprices ;) Actually, be up for surprices anyway, as we unfortunately can't know what hidden genes mom and dad have as we do not know any of their history)

I'd say you'll get a litter full with Black Tabby  kittens for both girls and boys. Even though the dad is a point, I do not expect your litter to have any point kittens, because the mom needs to wear the point gene, and I personally don't see that happen yet. It's possible, but it's a really small chance for it to happen. You also have a small chance on Blue Tabby kittens, but only if both mom AND dad wear the dilute gene and pass it on. This is possible, but I wouldn't count on this either.

Lots of luck to you and your cat! I hope everything will go well and you can enjoy healthy kittens in the future and make some families very happy with them. If you have more questions, feel free to ask!
