My sister-in-law, Charlotte, passed away yesterday morning. She was the widow of my late brother, Martin, who died 8 years ago. Got a phone call from my niece yesterday- we are driving to Ft. Lauderdale for the service Tues. morning. She has been having some medical issues last few years, but it's still a shock. We're at the stage of life where we are losing so many family members. So sad - but it makes you grateful for your health.

Please accept my condolences, I'm so very sorry for the loss of both your brother and now his wife. Somehow it is harder to take when there is no warning. I too pray that my husband's and my health will carry us through our old age, but with the loss of so many family members too it is difficult to envision. I guess we all have to pray and take care of ourselves the best we can. Sometimes I wish I would have taken better care of myself when I was younger, But like now, the young generation thinks they will live forever! Take care......

My condolences. I know what you mean about being at that stage of life - I rarely used to read obituaries, but nowadays there are more and more people I knew whose deaths are in the paper.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. :hugs:

My mother is 82 and has really been struggling lately with the fact that every one she knows is dying. :(
