Do you think it would make it easier if there was something that allowed you to keep the kitten(s) close but have your hands free? I'm working on a project but wanted input from those of you who have fostered bottle babies. I'm making a pouch that hangs over a person's chest that has pockets for rice inserts that can be heated to keep the kitten(s) warm. Would you use something like this?

My hand reared cat didn't have problems taking the bottle, but that sounds like it would be helpful for the kittens who have problems with hand rearing, to help the similarity to their mother more, and it could help those with more then 1 kitten to feed two at a time possibly :)

I suspect this device is useful not for bottle babies as such, but for weak, perhaps premature babies, who need extra care and human warmth.

Carrying them at your chest is  useful here.   Even if you do have access to a heating pad.

Its like with premature human babies.  Carrying them at the chest is almost as good as having them in especially made incubators in top notch equipped hospitals.

The caretaker wants to have arms free, its easier so.
