Is the eye red or irritated or just watering?

Either way, your best course of action is to take the cat to the vet who can diagnose properly what is going on.  It is likely treatment of some kind is needed.  It could be a variety of things, from a viral respiratory infection to a blockage in the tear draining system.

Good luck figuring out what is going on and please keep us updated on how she gets on!

Is it a clear discharge?   If it continues and turns thick goopy or yellow or brown  then it is likely an infection.   My cat had a tearing eye for years and 2 vets couldn`t figure it out.   The third vet finally gave us the right drops and it cleared it up.
