I was testing a new lens for my camera and noticed that one of the feral kittens that we take care of had something in her mouth.  I thought it was a stick.  Only after reviewing the photo did I see what it actually was - a dragonfly.  She was SO excited about it.  This was at 200mm @ f/2.8 and ISO 800 with 1/320sec shutter speed on a Canon 5D Mark III with a Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS II lens.  It's cropped considerably and sharpened a tiny bit.

A bit of backstory:

Her name btw is "Teeny Girl", so named because her mom is called "Little Girl" because her mom is somewhat small, and Teeny Girl looks like a smaller version of Little Girl. Her great grandfather "Alpha" was an unusually sweet feral cat that sort of became our outdoor cat (he didn't want to come in). Her grandfather, "Alpha Jr." is just as sweet as his dad and is the second feral cat I've seen that (believe it or not) seemed to actively look after his kittens after their mother (I've forgotten her name :( ) died shortly after birth. The first was his dad who looked after him when Alpha Jr.'s mom, Lady Cat, died. She had a large tumor on her chest that we think might have had something to do with her death. Alpha Jr. who we usually just call Alpha now that his dad has passed away, looked after and protected his three kittens: Meowser (he was the talker), Little Girl, and the sweetest of the three, Little Boy (he looked just like Little Girl). Sadly, Meowser and Little Boy have been missing for months. We think another feral that we care for, who is very aggressive, "Bad Cat", may have chased them away. Anyways, Teeny Girl has a sister who Alpha Jr. also protects, Goldie (so named because of her light red fur). There's other feral cats. All the ones that stick around or visit routinely have names, and they all have stories.
