I didn't post anything here when either of these cats passed away, because just thinking about it made me cry...

One of our cats died just before his tenth birthday in 2012. He was very sick and we had to rush him to the vet to have him humanely euthanized.

Going home with an empty carrier is the worst thing in the world...

His brother, and his closest friend, got really depressed after that and we thought that we would lose him too. He got better though and we got some more time with him.

Sadly, he passed away almost exactly a year after his brother. Just before his eleventh birthday in 2013.

We got those cats when they were three months old and I will never forget them.

Rest in piece, together forever, in the fields across the rainbow bridge

What beautiful boys!
They obviously still live on in your heart.
Thank you <3

They were both really special.

What precious boys. I can burst into tears too by thinking of that last day I spent with my Chrissy, who by the way could be a sister to your two. Sometimes the pain is never ending. My heart goes out to you, I wouldn't wish this anguish on anyone. I'll pray that your two boys are together now, I'm sure they will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. Please accept my condolences and try to remember the happy times. Keep busy, at times it is the only thing that helps. They leave behind a legacy of love and maybe one day you can pass that legacy on to a new precious soul. Take care. I'll be thinking of you....... RIP beautiful Romeo and Tristan, you will never be forgotten, your love will live forever in your family's hearts!

I'm so sorry.  They are precious, and they look like twins.

They were identical twins. Lovely identical tabby babies

We never saw one of them without the other being close by. Nothing could keep them apart!

Those beautiful boys look like twins! Sorry for your loss.  I know all about the empty feeling they leave behind.
