My Minnie had been suffering from aggressive cancer for the past four or five years. It got so bad that a lump the size of an egg formed and then a hole formed in it that leaked blood and pus, which was very messy and kept leaking. I took her to the vet yesterday and they gave me the option of having further treatments done, but I decided that we had had enough of what cancer was doing to her, so I decided to end it all for her. She went to sleep quietly and smoothly with me hugging her, kissing her, and telling her goodbye. I lost her sister Sally last July from aggressive cancer as well. It's going to take some getting used to coming home to no cats to greet me. I might start over again with two more cats, but I want to wait a bit out of respect for the two that I lost and give myself some time to grieve.
