There is a reason why your cat is not eating. He needs to be examined by a vet to find out why. It may be something quite simple and fixable.

yes take him to the vet immediately it is not fair to him that you are force feeding him without medical care. You will quickly put a divide in you relationship with your kitty because cats shouldnt be force fed they hate it and they will not like you for doing it. Something is seriously wrong with him and he needs a doctor just like a human would need a doctor ASAP if they lost weight and had to be force fed to eat.

You need to take your cat to a vet. Only a vet can diagnose and treat your cat. Your cat may have something easily treatable like a dental problem or something more serious. Cats who do not eat for more than a few days are at risk for developing a serious condition called fatty liver disease. Force feeding only makes a cat stressed out and afraid. Please take your cat to the vet soon.

Agreed, I had to try and force-feed my brother's cat who was hyperthyroid, had liver issues, and was refusing to eat. It was NOT fun, it didn't really work, and was nearly impossible. Find the money or ask someone to help you take your cat to the vet.

Now, sometimes cats just don't feel well and they refuse their regular food. You can try and offer them heated up wet food, some plain, cooked chicken, or even human baby food that's plain chicken. But really your cat needs to be seen by a vet.

I hope things are improving with them!!
