OK So here's the latest. I have manages to care for these guys for 2 years now they are not caged nor have they been for 2 years.

I will say they are a Hand Full @ X's but all and all I enjoy their company because my kids are all grown and have left the nest i TRY to do the best I can....with their care because being only able to use one arm leaves a lot to be desired when the grooming must be done, Puppy is the long haired one his hair is everywhere of course, I have let them have the run of the house 100% of the time.  They have totally destroyed an ancient Victorian Chair handed down to me in my parents estate. MY Moms would have a FIT, but whatta ya gonna do? They walk right by the scratching posts I've put down and go for the GOLD, so to speak!~>Grrrrrrrr<~

My delima lies outside----I'll bet there are close to 11-15 cats in my backyard mostly kittens that are obviously starving...I cannot for the life -of-me trap the female that is breeding so much and am going to try catching her again in the next week or so as APL is going to help me again...Why they come to my yard is beyond me!

I must stop this ASAP

I will tell ya we think there may very well be TWO females at work here

ANAYWAY...... I will try to keep an progress update posted if possible

also in my area we are getting SUB-ZERO TEMPS

Bless you for caring so much,  I know how much it hurts to see all the suffering going on in this world.I wanted to ask you if you had tried the corrugated cardboard 'scratchers',my cats have completely left my furniture alone since I got one. I've had good luck with applying clear two sided tape on the places they like to scratch too, if there is any thing left! But like you, they have us wrapped around their paws!
Good luck with finding those females, you might want to check some older threads on how to do so more easily. Keep on posting!

Apl is some rescue group helping you to catch and TNR them?   Good, TNR is the key in such cases.   Trying to get the kittens and foster them is useful too, if there is enough resources, but TNR is the big key.

Congrats to your good work with these two guys you do have inside!

Good luck!

My concern lies with the obvious, way, way too many ferals not enough community resources. I just want to know why my property is the HOMING GROUNDS for these poor animals!

Wondering just what, and if my neighbors are experiencing these similar issues as we hardly ever talk and if we do it because I break the ice by saying, "hello"

Not the friendliest people, if you catch my drift..lol

So I was assisted by a person this AM to take a cat trapped in my garage, to the TNR clinic I guess it to be 6 mths old AND one of the many, many romping around my back yard in this sub-Zer0 weather. I pray for an answer and conclusion to this problem in my area because it's only the TIP of the ICEBURG.

My proverbial plate is full I am currently helping a sibling who is End Stage cancer and this does not help

So I do what I can if I can

Steve0 - whatever you do is more than has been done up until now.  I just lost my sister to cancer, so I can empathize with what you're going through.  Do what you can when you can.  I does make a difference!
