Leo and his brother Milo came to us as 2 month old kittens on 14th August 2013 and we instantly fell in love with them. Leo was a white kitten with little light brown on the tip of his tail and ears and Milo is white and brown. They were our babies and we loved them so much! On 19th November 2013, in the morning Leo started vomiting so we gave him a medicine that the vet had given us. he stopped vomiting but was still a little weak.At 12 noon I had to leave the house as I had an exam at 1. As I was leaving Leo kept calling out to me and following me. I felt so bad that I had to go and that I couldn't stay with my baby but I had no choice. When I came back home after 3 hours I saw Leo lying under the sofa. He looked very weak and sickly. I tried to give him some water but he wouldn't drink. I called mom and told her to come fast. Mom and my I immediately took him to the vet but not even one vet was available. The sad thing about my city is that no vet is available after 5 in the evening. But somehow we found one vet. We told her the situation and she took him inside. She start giving him several meds orally and he started choking. Mom told her to stop but she said she knew what she was doing. Finally mom got angry and told her to back off and she picked Leo up. But I guess it was too late by then Leo was very stiff. Mom didn't know what to do she handed Leo to me and we got into the car. Then mom started calling everyone person she knew who had a pet. One person gave us a vet's personal number. we called her and she gave us her address. We went there as fast as we could. She saw him and said he's almost gone now but she started him on drips hoping to save his life. But it was too late. She said if he would be on drips a little earlier then he would have been fine.We went to the car with Leo in my arms. He was alive but barely. He clenched on to me and became really stiff. His eyes stopped moving. My Leo was gone. We came home and buried him in our garden that night. We couldn't stop crying. It was the saddest thing I have experienced. I still get tears in my eyes every time I thunk about my baby Leo. The worst part was watching Milo search for his brother everywhere. Milo became very dull and slowly became weak. We thought he was going to die too. So we adopted a beautiful white girl Chloe. Bu Milo and Chloe hated each other. Milo used to sit in one corner and cry. We almost gave Chloe looking at Milo's condition away but someone told us that soon enough they will be the best of friends. And thats exactly what happened! Now Milo is back to normal and they are both happy! Milo and Chloe are expecting their first litter. Chloe is due in approximately two weeks! I miss my baby Leo but I'm really happy that I didn't lose my baby Milo too and that we were able to provide a home for baby Chloe.
