It's going to be bitterly cold this week; we're talking lows at 0, highs in the teens, a clipper storm dropping snow Tuesday and Wednesday and a bitterly cold wind. It's not pretty out there.

I have a couple pairs of Cuddle Duds to wear under my jeans, but honestly, in this weather, they're nothing. I wear them, but my legs are really cold....and with that wind, it's nasty.

After we left the grocery store tonight, Rick said we were going into Dick's. He bought me a pair of Under Armour ColdGear Infrared long pants to wear under my jeans. He said Cuddle Duds aren't made for weather like this and I needed something warmer to deal with the wind and cold. He wanted to get me the shirt, too, but honestly, I wear a long-sleeve turtleneck under my Colombia jacket and that's plenty warm. I told him that I've been walking like this for years now and manage to get through the winter just fine. He told me enough was enough.

I tried the pants on when we got home and I can't wait to wear them. Nice and comfy!

He told me he didn't care how much snow we got tomorrow; he expects to hear that I walked during lunch. I have my Yak Trax and I have my snow sneakers. And now I have decent underwear. No excuses! Deal with the weather and move.

He always said that it was his job to do whatever it took to keep me walking during the winter months.

I think I'm going to keep him!

Wow, way to go hubby.
I bought under armour tops for my DH. He swears by them. Never knew they sold bottoms. Gotta get DH some.
Walk warm and enjoy.

That's awesome Pam!  DH wears Under Armour under his work clothing; both the bottoms and tops.  They really have been worth the money!  I bought him his first set for the Christmas before this last one and we've gotten a few more since.  We were washing the set multiple times a week.

That's true love! View media item 253222 I wear long underwear tops all winter, but only have one pair of bottoms, since I usually wear tights + knee socks under jeans.

What's really nice for walking in winter is LL Bean's flannel-lined jeans; sometimes Vanity Fair has them.

Tricia, I saw those in their catalog and wondered how they'd be for walking. Do they fit nice? I've been thinking about buying a pair, but am leery of sizing. I'd wear my long underwear under them.

The blue denim ones I have are a bit snug (straight and "regular" fit) after a couple of washings, so with long underwear you might want to go up a size. I got some off-white ones, same cut and size, that still fit perfectly although they've been washed nearly as often.
