It's going to be bitterly cold this week; we're talking lows at 0, highs in the teens, a clipper storm dropping snow Tuesday and Wednesday and a bitterly cold wind. It's not pretty out there.
I have a couple pairs of Cuddle Duds to wear under my jeans, but honestly, in this weather, they're nothing. I wear them, but my legs are really cold....and with that wind, it's nasty.
After we left the grocery store tonight, Rick said we were going into Dick's. He bought me a pair of Under Armour ColdGear Infrared long pants to wear under my jeans. He said Cuddle Duds aren't made for weather like this and I needed something warmer to deal with the wind and cold. He wanted to get me the shirt, too, but honestly, I wear a long-sleeve turtleneck under my Colombia jacket and that's plenty warm. I told him that I've been walking like this for years now and manage to get through the winter just fine. He told me enough was enough.
I tried the pants on when we got home and I can't wait to wear them. Nice and comfy!
He told me he didn't care how much snow we got tomorrow; he expects to hear that I walked during lunch. I have my Yak Trax and I have my snow sneakers. And now I have decent underwear. No excuses! Deal with the weather and move.
He always said that it was his job to do whatever it took to keep me walking during the winter months.
I think I'm going to keep him!
