my 10 year old cat all of a sudden has weakness in his back legs, took him to the vet. They did blood work and other tests, blood sugar etc. I brought him home and waited for results. when they called me very thing came back fine he is a healthy cat for being 10 but they thought he may have been diabetic because his sugar was 9.5. But wanted me to bring him in for xrays which I did, everything was fine with the xrays as well except one little dark spot where his tail connects to his spine. Maybe inflamed, something may have happened "injury".

So he not diabetic, when I took him in for his xrays they tested his blood again and was excellent.

She gave me predinsone for the inflammation this has been since Friday Jan 2 there has been no change

Any suggestions???? what to ask the vet, they said their stomped.

If he did injure his back I think it would take a couple days for the steroids to kick in. I am not sure why you didn't get any pain meds like tramadol if there is something showing in his back. Is he holding his tail right? I assume he is not walking much can you tell if he is painful?

No his tail is down when he walks it like he's skating. He doesn't seem to be in pain, he doesn't meow when touched or tries to get up on the couch. But I know he's peeing but for pooping it's only a rabbit crut and he's done. He has been laying down a lot.

Well if it's a back issue the steroids will take a few days to work. He may be laying down because he is in some sort of pain from it. I'd would call the vet tomorrow at the end of the day if he is not better, that would be 4 days on the steroids. He may need pain meds to get him back on his feet.
