Hi everyone!

We all love our cats dearly and of course they possess some of our favourite kitty traits and behaviours and our not-so-favourite.

So for today's question, if there was one trait, habit, or behaviour that you could train out of your cat(s), what would it be?

I would stop Mo from yowling at night, and I would stop Kismet's pica soft plastic bag eating. Such nuisances.

Quit taking the time to run under my bed to barf.
Why can't you barf where you were standing where it's so much easier to clean??

Wow, I never realized how fortunate I was that when Mo puked, he just sat still and gagged so we could put a paper towel in front of him and he would just throw up right there. Kismet has done that once too, but she favoured being near the front door (on hard wood) the other time she's been sick.

The other day, as I was bending down to place Mo's saucer on the floor for him, he YELLED at me (not a meow, not a yowl, just a HEY, 'BOUT TIME STUPID HUMAN), so to get him back, I brushed him while he was eating. My boyfriend laughed like "you sure showed him!" but he doesn't like being brushed by me much and will keep trying to step out of the way of the brush so I like to think I did get him back to some degree.

I would like her to not be afraid and totally manic about going into the carrier.  She will scratch and claw and I have had to cancel many vet appointments.

Autumn is due for a rabies shot, in fact she is late in getting it.  I called the vet and asked if anyone could come to my home and help get her into the carrier.  I was surprised that someone volunteered to attempt to do just that.  She will be her next Thursday and my vet appt. will be an hour later.  Still don't know if it will work.  I'll let you know.

Oh yea, This is the one for Casper. If he only would learn to barf on the ceramic or wood floors.  So much easier to clean up. One rug in particular is a real problem since it has an Oriental pattern, a lot of movement and colors which help hide it.  In fact, this morning he threw up.  Tom told me he got it all, was hardly anything   Two hours later I stepped in what was the main pile of it.  Barefoot.  Ugh.

I have to say all things considered, we have two very well behaved cats.  It would be difficult to come up with anything else, other than maybe having Cocoa not wake us up for breakfast but, she has gotten better about that.  Not quite as vocal or as early as she used to.

Stealing food off the table, mainly because of his food allergies, but also because he's getting tubby. Chewing runs a distant second, since he's usually content with cardboard boxes or scratchers.

Oh gosh... do I have to only pick one???? LOL!

If I have to pick one, I would pick the fighting and bickering between the two big cats and Joni. It's not all the boys' fault - sometimes they just walk by and she hisses and starts a row. But for the most part, they start the fight and even though she runs, are pretty relentless and won't stop chasing her until we force them apart.

A close second would be begging for food. Both cat food -- any time our feet hit the floor Garfunkel runs into the kitchen and starts screaming, even if he was just fed an hour ago -- as well as human food -- crawling "stealthily" all around the sofa, trying to climb on us to sniff and get at our food while we eat, or jumping up onto the table if we're eating there. It's SO ANNOYING!!!!!!!

I have one that tries to eat weird things. Usually wrappers any thing plastic, but she will run off with bread ties also.  My house is child proofed for my four legged children. I follow someone who opens a piece of candy or gum and make sure they throw the wrapper away in a trash can that is locked away from her. I look like a crazy lady because only me and my husband have seen how quick she grabs stuff and runs to eat it.

I can tolerate all their other silly, sometimes annoying habits as long as they do not harm themselves,

I have five so :

BoBo stop begging and stop stealing foodie the counters.

Genna stop barfing in the hallway bathroom.

Slinky stop meowing when I put the baby for nap.

Diddles stop racing the jingle ball after baby goes to sleep. Also stop meowing at 4 am for love. Lastly don't eat and knead my hair while we sleep.

Domino stop humping every soft thing you come into contact with. Especially my leg.

OK, I know I'm sad but I love pretty much all Mouse's 'stuff'.   I do wish he's stop sneaking up so he's right at my feat and getting trodden on quite so often.  I feel so bad if I tread on his paws or tail; even though I never wear shoes in the house it still hurts him and he looks at me like he's so confused about why I hurt him - like he thinks I mean to do it.

If it weren't for some mild pica, I would argue my Kismet is absolutely perfect in every way too! How whipped are we?

But Mo on the other hand...
My boyfriend has taught him to be quite the little annoyance with stuff he thinks is cute.

Leroy needs to stop screaming like he's going to starve to death that very instant if I don't go to the kitchen
Emma needs to stop pulling my hair... at the scalp

Lol
Maybe my cats should show your cats how to throw up? My cats throw up either on the wood floor or bathroom tiled floor for easy clean up
Occasionally there will be some on the entryway rug but it's easily cleaned.

I'd really like it if they could all stop performing their Great Cat Stampedes.

We've got wooden flooring all through the house and when they're going at full pelt they can't get their claws into anything so they tend to scrabble on the floor, which makes a racket. Every now and then one of them will do something that will scare one of the others, that cat will start scrabbling to get away and the rest of them will go

"OMG We're under attack!!!"

Next thing you know we've got all 20 of them running in all directions, scaring themselves silly with the sound of their claws on the hard wood floors. It's really scary for me too, I just grab hold of my mug and sit there and pray until it's all over.

Oh, that's funny!  We say ours sound like a herd of elephants when they all go running down the hall at once and there are only three of them--I can only imagine what twenty sound like!

I would like it if Monet would stop destroying my chair when he has two stratching posts next to it! And to stay off my counters

Cassie doesn't have bad habits- but I would like her to be more confident around other people and not hide
