Does anyone like jig saw puzzles?  I used to do them all the time when I was a teen and up to about mid-twenties.  Yesterday I bought a couple to work on while watching TV.  I'm just hoping that my cats don't decide to try and help me!  Nothing worse than working on a puzzle only to find you have missing pieces!  LOL

Cute!  I just bought 2 to do.  A Thomas Kinkaid Cinderella puzzle that i'd like to frame for my DD's bedroom when it's done and another Thomas Kinkaid painting one.  I haven't done a jigsaw puzzle in a long time; but I hope to take the time to work on them soon.  It can be really relaxing to slow down and focus on something like this for a while.

My BFF absolutely loves puzzles!  I sent her one this year for Christmas that was nothing but jelly beans!  She had it done in 3 days.  One time when we were younger (high school I think) I helped her do one that was nothing but yellow #2 pencils.  We had had a bad snowstorm and that's how we used the extra time on our hands.
A few years ago; when her 2 girls were smaller, they got into the game closet and dumped a bunch of her puzzles on the floor!  Being a puzzle addict like she is; that meant thousands of pieces all scattered together!!  She sure did separate them all and complete each puzzle again to be sure she hadn't lost the pieces!
I don't know how long it took her.  Everyone was telling her to trash them or use the pieces for crafts.  Nope. Not her style.

When my dad was alive, he loved to do jig-saw puzzles. We bought all kinds of weird ones and he always managed to get them finished. He had a large piece of plywood on the living room floor and he would lay on the floor with his puzzle and watch tv that way.

That could not happen in our house; can you imagine what six cats could do to puzzle pieces?!

I love jigsaw puzzles. I used to sit for hours and work away at them, but with all the cats in the house it isn't possible anymore...Unless I take to doing them in the washroom, and I don't know about that...

those are very pretty jigsaw puzzles!

a few years ago i bought a computer program that allows me to make jigsaw puzzles out of any picture on my computer or that i find online. it's a great program, and i work on jigsaw puzzles on my computer often. i'm currently working on a jigsaw puzzle made from a picture of a currier & ives print.
