I think clams in an herb broth.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for my brother!

Tonight's menu is grilled shrimp kebabs (nice, big shrimp with chunks of pineapple, pearl onions, and pepper chunks and brushed with a balsamic vinegar sauce) with vegetable rice (It's something that I made up a long time ago and have been making it now for decades. I use brown rice. Lots of caramelized onions, sauteed peppers and celery, a bit of broccoli, and herbs, with a wee bit of white wine. Freshly chopped parsley over top).

I made parmesan chicken (using Hellman's mayo) and mashed potatoes. We walked to Dairy Queen and got ice cream after.

It's a toss-up (and I need to make up my mind soon) between beef stew or shredded BBQ beef sandwiches. One or the other.

I may do both. I have a 4-pound chuck thawing. I could use half of it for the sandwiches and the other half for beef stew. Have the stew tonight and the sandwiches tomorrow night and then freeze leftovers. That would work, too.

I am planning on cooking today. I have not done so in a long while--- long story.

I plan on making the weight watchers soup. It is the one with cabbage. I use chicken broth and can add some orzo pasta if I find it no filling enough.

I have to make it today because I bought the veggies a couple days ago...

I did make both the stew yesterday and the shredded beef.

We are having shredded BBQ beef sandwiches for dinner tonight. With a wee bit of broccoli coleslaw

I'm making roast beef, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy and corn. It's my husbands 30th birthday today and that's what he wanted.

My nephew is getting married tomorrow and the rehearsal dinner is tonight. :) We're going to a fancy restaurant, but I'm not sure what we are having.

more split pea soup, and a(nother) grilled cheese sandwich.
You've made me want split pea soup. I am getting the ingredients to make a batch in the crock pot tonight. I will be freezing some to bring to DD at school. She's excited.

No idea what's for dinner tonight. I need to go grocery shopping. Maybe I'll pick up something to grill and share with the furkids. NY strip steaks are on sale this week.  I'm thinking a baked (microwaved) potato with butter, S&P and some wine to go with for me.

My mum used to make that for Sunday lunch but with roast potatoes and no corn.
