I think I will try gettin g some mac and cheese into me t

Thank you!

Yes, it seems to be going well.. I just have a large bandage on my face. It is in a spot where it is difficult to keep a bandage, so I use lots of tape!

I am just siting around on my butt this week. Kind of bored, but taking it very easy.

I got a green bruise under my eye, my upper lip was 3 time the normal size, along with the upper lip being bruised. Hard to keep a bandage under the nose, side corner of nose, along the cheek fold, to just above the corner of my mouth. Today I can open my mouth a lot better. I have been using straws to drink.

Hard to keep tape under your nose and not on you lip or covering nostril competely.. I cannot use the real strong tape because it makes my skin red...

so I am avoiding housework and even going out!

My neighbors see me getting the mail and there are a ton of questions. I probably have the bandage larger than what is needed, but it covers and stays for the day. Have to wash and re-dress it twice a day...

Stitches out on Friday!!! I counted 25 tiny superficial ones and I have many small deep one which will dissolve.
i don't like to 'pry', so didn't ask you questions. but you'll be in my thoughts, that healing goes smoothly and quickly.

mostly, i get scrapes, bruises, and splinters. but occasionally i'll get a cut where dirt has gotten under the skin, which then wants to try to progress to cellulitis (which i'm prone to getting) and i know what to do to effectively prevent that from happening. i've actually never had stitches before.

i ended up just having little bits of this and that for my 'dinner'.

FYI. I had a basal cell skin cancer lesion removed on Friday. Not prying. I am pretty open. So ask away. Yes did have some Mac and cheese for supper
This is my second time having stitches. First time was not comparable to this one. Last stitches were a year ago when I had arthroscopic surgery for my shoulder. Only a few stitches then. I never had surgery up until then either. I guess I hijacked the thread. Sorry to all

I think a slice of mall pizza will be dinner tonight. Rick has a dental cleaning appt and he wants to get a hair trim. I'm going to meet him at the mall and do a bit of shopping tonight. No cooking.

I think I will try getting some mac and cheese into me tonight.. It is difficult with the bandage on my face,..The bandage goes from the corner of the nose and under, to the side of my nose and down along the cheek crease to the level of the corner of my mouth.(stitches)..... Eating and drinking is very challenging...
I have to sneak things in!! :sigh:  ........but this is only temporary.. stitches will be removed on friday...
Good luck tomorrow.

Warm cauliflower with ceasar dressing, sliced almonds and thin slices of cheese. Pleasant and interesting. Then grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes. Brought home what I didn't eat.
Do you do that in America?

Thank you. I do not know what to expect. I never had stitches like this before. I mean I only had a few on my shoulder. This is a lot of them. Getting tired of the bandage. My nostril is swollen inside. Hope that subsides soon.
I'm sure all will be ok. Think like this. Sunday it'll all be well and truly over. Keep positive. Says cowardly stewball.
I look forward to reading tomorrow what happened. Hugs.

I'm not sure what happened to you, Artiemom, but I hope the stitches come out OK today and that you're feeling better soon.

Not sure about dinner tonight. Whatever I can dig out from the freezer I guess.

Yesterday I finally replace my George Foreman grill with a new one. I loved the old one, Teflon coated. It was easy to use for cooking but a pain when it came clean up time. I bought a new one at Target yesterday that is ceramic plated. The plates, top and bottom can be removed for dishwasher cleaning or wash in the sink. I am going to cook some turkey burgers on that. We will have some fries cooked in the toaster oven and a salad. The best thing is all the grills were on sale so I paid $39 instead of $49 plus the tax. I love a deal. :lol3:

Last night we had sushi at our favorite Japanese place. We never liked sushi before, but they have a really good spicy blue crab roll (spicy blue crab and cucumber), and a delicious surf n turf roll (tempura shrimp and beef tataki on top).

Tonight I think I'd like some buffalo grilled chicken :)

Like fish and beef?
Some places offer plates with fish / seafood and beef and call it surf n turf also. Basically the surf part meaning seafood, and turf part meaning on land :)

The surf n turf sushi roll is tempura flaked shrimp inside the rice roll, with rare, thin sliced beef pieces on top :) Delicious with some Ponzu sauce and hot sauce. The spicy blue crab is really good with some wasabi in either the Ponzu sauce or Soy.
