@Winchester They are coming out with red velvet Oreos if you like red velvet. On sale on Feb. 2nd. :) Just thought I would mention those! The reeses peanut butter cup ones are my favorite and I had Pumpkin Spice Oreos around Halloween. They were yummy too. Just vanilla with a pumpkin spice cream. It tasted like frosting! Mm. But for chocolate oreos I prefer double stuffed!

chocolate

We had chicken fried steak and salad tonight for dinner. Hopefully making goulash this weekend.
Love red velvet! I think I saw them at the store the other night. Rick pretty much only buys the double stuffed Oreos (although he likes the peanut butter ones, too) and I don't buy them at all because I can't have them in the house and not eat them. I do love Oreos; they're pretty much the only store-bought cookie that I eat. And good grief, but they're getting expensive. We only buy them when they're on sale, which isn't often. Our store had them for $1.89 a package, which is why Dear Richard bought them.

Not sure about tonight as I have a hair appt at 5:00, so won't be home until after 7:00. Probably something really quick. There's tuna in the pantry, so probably something with that. We'll see.

Good Lord. More than we paid for our 34" I think. Is that Can$'s? I don't know the rate of exchange. US$'s is about 4 shekels, horrible word, to US$'s. Enjoy your TV. Will you put it on your wall?
Yes that's Canadian. Looks like that's about $413 American and 1,625.42 shekels. It's on a stand because it's in the corner of a room.

We are having stir fry over basmati rice tonight.

After my knitting group this morning I dashed into the IGA in town (supposed to snow) to get milk and an onion bagel.

Also grabbed a package of meaty, country style bone-in pork spareribs. They're sitting with a dry marinade of salt, black pepper, fresh thyme, and smashed garlic. Will wipe off the marinade, brown, then braise them with lentils and celery.

oh Canada~
It's pretty good. There's one in Burlington my boyfriend used to work near so they would go for lunch sometimes. This is just down the street from me and my brother is coming into town for something anyway, so we're gonna go with him. It's nothing amazing or special, but the food is good. Like any buffet, if you go enough, it's just the same old food (that you could make at home anyway). I went twice in December, once when my brother came to visit and once for my birthday so I'm nearing the point of "it's just normal food", but I am hungry right now.

I live towards London so Burlington is a bit of a drive. We don't have any buffets here other than Chinese. My mom has wanted to go there, maybe we will go for her birthday.

May i have your recipe for goulash please?
We don't really have a recipe... but we use macaroni, hamburger, canned tomatoes, cheese, celery and onion. I can ask my mom how long she cooks it for as she is the one that cooks it. :) And it's delicious!

I do love them too but they are gone in a flash here if I buy them. Yeah they really are getting expensive! We're having tortilla chips and salsa for dinner tonight I think with lots of cheese.

Three words BIRTHDAY CAKE OREOS. Best. Ones.EVER. I used to love the double stuf ones the most (although the Oreo Big Stuf from the early 90's were a dream come true if anyone remembers those).

The Birthday cake ones trump them all.

Did. Not. Need. To. Know. Did. Not.

I remember the Big Stuf. So does Rick. He still talks about them. It was like the ultimate Oreo for him.

That sounds delicious. We are having chicken for dinner. I think I'm just going to shake n bake it. I had a tooth removed a few hours ago and I'm hoping I can eat dinner.
