I took some shrimp out of the freezer and it's thawing in the fridge. Rick will shell it when he gets home and then I'll make dinner. He's bowling early, so we'll be eating as soon as I get home.

Cajun shrimp with steamed broccoli and carrots sounds pretty good for tonight.
Your dinners always sound so good. You should come here and teach me to cook.

I'm making sloppy joes tonight.

I took some chicken sausages out of the freezer last night, but I'm not sure what I want to do with them tonight. We're always in the mood for a frittata and I found this:  http://www.alfrescoallnatural.com/r...thalfrescocountrystylebreakfastchickensausage

It's a Farmers Frittata with breakfast sausage, but I see no reason why I can't use my apple chicken sausages in the mix instead. The recipe uses the chicken sausage, bell pepper, potato, onion, and both whole eggs and egg whites. This serves 6, but I can cut it down to serving 4 and still get a nice frittata. (And one serving is about 170 calories)

Breakfast for dinner works for me anytime.

can shrimps be eaten peeled but not cooked or can they be peeled after they've been cooked?

You can peel shrimp before you cook them or after you cook them, right before you eat them. I would not suggest eating raw shrimp (eaten peeled, but not cooked), but that's just me.

We didn't have our frittata last night. Got done to the mall for Rick to have his hair cut and then he suggested a slice of mall hoagie pizza. So that was our dinner.

I will make the frittata for our supper tonight.

I was asking because when I was about 12 I used to help a woman 2 houses down with her children. Go and fetch them from kindergarten, John and Jane, and help her in the kitchen. I had my own apron and it's own place. I remember helping her peel shrimps and eat them so I presume they were cooked. However when she discovered

They weren't kosher, I didn't know, I wasn't even allowed to touch them. I wonder how she found out. If it was from mum I wasn't stopped from going. But I liked them.
That's why I asked @ Pam.

Eggs with toast and mushrooms and grilled cherry tomatoes. Then warm apple pie with cream
zip was just trying to remember when I had mushrooms and apple pie at home when I remembered I'd taken me out for an early supper.

Quinoa with a boiled egg, pepper, and smoked sea salts (if you haven't tried smoked sea salt, I WHOLLY recommend it! SO good!). But I'm still hungry so I've got mango ice cream and a nice mug of thickly made Milo, courtesy of @FhiCat.

I did make the frittata last night and it was quite good. Rick liked it.

Took a large chicken breast out of the freezer. We will split it for dinner tonight. Probably with a twice-baked potato (and we will split that, too, as my Russets are huge). And some green beans.

Judy, I cannot imagine never having any Mexican food!

I think I'm going to put up the chicken thighs and drumsticks I have here.  Most likely will stew them in the crockpot, nice and slow.  Throw in whatever veggies I have on hand, some white wine, chicken broth, etc.  Side of egg noodles sounds like a good match.
