A brined pork weiner (these are small, imported from Germany) with 1 jarlsberg mini, 1 scallion - these 3 diced up with miracle noodles fettuccine and a bit of water, heated up. Seasoned with turmeric and curry powder.  1 oz. half and half with my coffee.

two fried eggs, two slices of toast with margarine and my homemade apple butter, and a glass each of juice and milk -- a very late breakfast.

@MoochNNoodles -- i always say, you can't go wrong with fried eggs or eggs in general.

I grocery shop weekly with trips in between. We now have a small chest freezer so I have been stocking up on some stuff.
having extra freezer space is a really wonderful thing! we're able to buy extra of things when they're on sale if we want to. and this year i'll be making quite a few different freezer jams. last year i made a few batches of apple butter, then froze in wide mouth glass canning jars (freezer safe ones). i'll be doing the same this year, with both apple butter and peach butter.

hot open-faced turkey sandwich -- a late lunch. everything is running late here today.

I agree with you 100%.
and eggs are pretty much a perfect protein too.

when my nephew was a toddler, my sil served him eggs (for breakfast) often. she had done some research and had learned that there's something about eggs (i don't remember what exactly now) that is very good for young children.

They're good for dogs as well. We were advised by the vet to give our dog eggs sometimes.
I'm so pleased they finally discovered that you don't get cholesterol from eggs. I love love love them. Mainly fried but also a very cheesey omelette or scrambled.
I can eat them daily.

I'm so glad they f

I give my dog plain steamed white or brown rice with a couple of soft boiled eggs mixed in when her stomach is upset. it works every time. it's bland, filling and the eggs, like you said are a great source of protein. The soft yolks make a sauce for the rice that she loves.

I haven't ate yet today. I had half a slice of bread last night and that's the last thing I ate. I was sick. I feel better now but I haven't had a chance to eat yet today.

A nougat-filled chocolate Easter egg. I knew I shouldn't have bought Easter candy so early in the week. :lol3:

JCAT, I'm a funny gal.  I can enjoy buying chocolate for the easter basket I am making my husband, hide it out of view, and not lust after any.  But boy do I keep thinking about the dark chocolate and nuts from SEEs that I hope my husband is giving me on Sunday..lol.

Just had a fairly normal breakfast -
1 egg over easy cooked in 1 tsp. kerrygold butter. 1/2 cup (raw) broccoli - first microwave steamed then finished in the pan with the egg. 1 slice chipotle white cheddar cheese melted atop the egg and broccoli.
1 oz. half and half with my coffee.  My bazillion am supplements :)

i'm not surprised they finally discovered that you don't get cholesterol from eggs. i remember back decades ago when 'they' said that tomatoes could cause cancer. at that time, my dad said he'd wait and he bet that they'd decide that tomatoes didn't cause cancer soon enough -- and that's exactly what happened. so i don't place much 'stock' in these kind of things. instead, i just try to eat well, eat a variety of foods, and try to eat sweet things in moderation.

i do eat eggs daily! i love eggs fried too, but also like them scrambled or made into an omelet. i love hard boiled eggs, and especially deviled eggs.

Sorry. I hit send by accident.
I had scrambled eggs with cheese last night. I always have 3 eggs. I find 2 not enough and 4 too much. Yay for eggs.
