I've lost 4.6 pounds since Monday doing the 21 day fix. The weight is coming off very fast right now. It's a decent amount of food, just all healthy.

Many inspirational stories here, awesome job everyone!

Pat, awesome job! Focus on yourself and take CARE of yourself!

Same goes for everyone else!

I joined WW last week after struggling with my weight due to Thyroid Cancer. I said enough is enough when I saw the scale at 195 lbs and saw how horrible I looked in photos. After 1 week on WW, I lost 2.2 lbs.. which is encouraging since it tells me that I CAN lose weight and I can't blame my medicine and lack of thyroid anymore. But, it's only week 1.

Sorry to have been mia lately, glad to see the new folks who have just started as well as long timers here doing well.

I've had some ups since just around Memorial day and it has taken until the past few days to get back to 153 down to 151+.  My high was 156 (!!), and I am glad to no longer be seeing that number as it is above the 3 pound range I set for myself for successful maintenance.

I know why, and am now back to what makes me feel my best.  I was 1) experimenting - having raw milk plain yogurt with nuts (almonds - a measured amount) and an apple for breakfast or lunch 2) having more carbs per day (up to 120-130 gms - I tend to run 60-100 when I was losing - still pretty high compared to truly low carb plans).  In the non-experimental but ah..no, not a good idea phase of all this was eating more than one Reward Meal per day (I only eat complex carbs once a day when on plan).  I love the fruit/nuts/yogurt and it didn't set me off craving immediately, but I do think is part of why I began to feel hungry more and more of the day - even when my tummy felt full.  I will keep the nuts/apple/yogurt for a dessert - it sure is tasty.  Which is awesome because I haven't enjoyed apples (except in baked goods) as a satisfying food in years...now I think/can taste how delicious they are.

It all comes back to continuing to choose my health, to feel good as well as enjoy my food and cooking, and to choose to find how I can stay on my maintenance plan, versus the reasons I can not.

I feel SO much better with upping the protein and decreasing the carbs again, as I've done the past 3 days.  I just feel 'right'.

So, that is what I have been 'chewing' on since my last post in this thread.

I wonder if anyone has consumed as much sugar than I have, around 600 grams a day that is more than 1.3 pounds a day?

4 days ago I have cut down that to less than 1/4 pound, around 100 grams and I have started to gain weight really fast.

I guess I have been eaten enough much sugar that it has been going straight trough, so now I need to cut down even more of sugar intake.

I need to reduce at least 30 pounds now, it is around 13% of my weight, as I'm over 6 feet and quite strong build my weight will be bit higher than most.

Last summer I managed to get under 220 pounds, but got 10 pounds back during winter and spring, so I guess I try to get my sugar intake to more common level and see if that will help with something.

I do quite lot of calorie burning during summer and autumn, but less at winter, during last summer I had similar or maybe even higher sugar consumption and I kept loosing weight.

Nobody that sees me really believes that I weight over 220 pounds, even my waist is bit over 40 inches and BMI lies a lot because of my build, but sure enough there is fat to melt, at least two inches :D

I would like to be 10 pounds lighter by end of November, it should be sensibly possible, harder part is to keep that weight below 220 pounds which is second goal until next summer, when I hope to see another 10 pounds off.

My goodness that is a lot of sugar. i quit sugar cold turkey for many weeks. It wasn't until I ate it again that I realised how crappy it makes me feel. I now eat it once or twice a week. I absolutely love it but the next day my eyes are puffy, I look older and I feel sluggish. Congratulations on taking to first step to the new you.

It's funny...if I were in some situation where every day I had a choice of just carbs to eat, I'd quickly never reach for a sweet but go for the bread and butter or potato and butter <@@>...those I just adore.

Doing well, low 153s to low 152s this week :)

Up about 1/4 of a pound - new average is 153.3.  I am working to keep the resolve that I've had..yesterday worked out well in that regard.  Keep on saying "yes" to the changes you want folks.  Came up with a very silly little mantra for myself - "Resolve - use it, or lose it".  ;-)

I went up 1 pound but I am back on track and it should go down again soon. I didn't get to my workouts for a few days, I had girls night on Saturday and we went out to eat and I had a piece of cake (very small) at my in laws yesterday.

Now, how cool is that?

How do you like the 21-day fix? Are you happy with it? Are you hungry?
I'm liking it. Not really hungry anymore, I was for the first couple of days because I got used to filling up on carbs not fruit and veggies. I find myself getting full on carbs very fast now. It is a decent amount of food, I can have 4 servings of veggies, 3 fruit, 3 carbs, 4 proteins, 1 cheese, 1 seeds and 4 oil/nut butter. All are portioned out but it's not very small portions. They are a good size.

I was checking into the various little containers to see how many ounces each held. So that if I wanted to try it, I wouldn't have to buy the containers. I have nutritional scales that I could use to weigh everything out. I'm thinking about giving it a shot for three weeks, maybe after the July 4 weekend.

Like the green container is for veggies and it holds 8 ounces. So 3 servings would be 24 ounces of veggies (which seems like a lot really). Purple container is for fruit and it holds 8 ounces. And so on.

I've been using measuring cups. I have the containers coming soon. This might help you. I changed the amounts because it's for the lower weight category than mine.

I even got my 4-week charm holder. I wish I could put it on my keyring but I can't??

Isn't that some kind of nose ring?

Maybe you can unscrew one of those two ends and take out that charm, then put that to key ring?

Any lost weight is better than gained weight! I have been pretty much on same weight as before, it is not going up or down, except I have been more tired since reducing consumption of sugar a lot, it has been just last days that I have been rather tired.

Also funny thing is I don't feel tired, but if I try to do something muscles seem not to have energy.

I'm seriously considering getting huge load of sugar to get me moving, that sounds bit insane :D
