Thanks guys.  It certainly was another reminder that things in life can change in an instant.  Very thought provoking for me.

Just to share how my past week of daily weights went - last Tuesday was 156.0, Wed was 154.5, Thurs was 153.2, Fri was 155.4, Saturday was 153.6, Sun was 153.0, and this morning was 152.3.  Nice direction, can't wait to be back in the 150-151 range.  My average came to 154.0.

The downward spiral continues, Pat. Wonderful job. It's something how our weight fluctuates from day to day.

FWIW, I did manage to lose 2.8 pounds this past week.

Soooooooooo...My new weight by average is 151.9, for a total now lost of 216.1.  And here is the change - per my cardiologist, I am to maintain for now, though in the future I can go ahead and lose the small amount left I had wanted to (want an averaged weight of 146).  I am also now off a low sodium diet.  I'm still having the woozies and low bp, so he was concerned re the amount of calories I was eating (which were plenty - between 1350 which was rare to 1500 which was the usual to be close to - like 1460).

I am in maintenance!!  We will see how this balancing act goes..lol.  I am, for now, making these changes - upping calories to 1750 max, and having either a snack a day of fruit or nuts or adding more carbs to my reward meal.  I am still, and plan to always, doing the carbohydrateaddicts lifespan program re meal composition and timing.  The added snack that has some carbs would be my maintenance change.

Whee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Congratulations on reaching your maintenance weight (even though you want to drop a little more eventually.)

It sucks that your BP is still problematic. I really sympathise - I have the same issues myself. Hope you get back onto an even keel soon. Pure liquorice is meant to boost blood pressure. I take it in capsule form as a supplement. Might be worth a try?

Also, for all of you on reduced carb diets - have you come across bean pasta? It's made by http://www.explore-asian.com. Much more filling than 'real' pasta and lower carb too :)

Thanks, I am working for now on increased hydration and salt intake.  I am such a fan of miracle noodles ziti and fettuccine, sticking with it :)

Oh my goodness... I dropped off from this thread and kept meaning to catch up. Pat! I am so glad you are okay.
And I hope your health continues to improve! I hope you enjoy maintenance and please keep updating this thread as we all know that is the hard part!

So the week after my small gain, I had a BIG gain, 4.25 lbs. It was water weight from a very bad eating week and weekend. The following week (last Monday) I lost all 5 lbs I had gained, but lost no new weight. Tonight I lost 1.25 lbs and reached 66.25 lbs lost total. I have lost 10.1 BMI points.

I hope everyone has a good week and I will try to stay updated with the thread!!!

Well done Pat  It's a shame to be so close to your goal weight and have to stop for a while. It's a great chance to practice though. Please keep us posted how you go.

my waist was only supposed to go up 2cm these past five weeks. No more. It's gone up 4cm. I have the next two weeks to do a ton of cardio to get that waistline down. Hopefully a bit more than the 4cm. Ill be checking in next week.

Good work everybody. I hope you had a good week.

Pat.....
Great job! You are an inspiration to the rest of us!

Stay there for a while and maintain (that's important, too). And then in a little while, you can resume your journey....down!

Hi folks, hope all are doing well, and that all you Mom's had a great celebration yesterday:)

I am settling into maintenance - weights ranged from a high this morning of 153.1, to a low of 150.4 this past week - still lost .32 of a pound, but am sitting right in the pocket of where I want to be - between an averaged weight of 150 and 153.  New weight by average is 151.6.  I've upped my calories to 1760, and am eating that most days.  I expect my body to settle out at an average weight of 150+ to be honest.

Well done Pat  I knew you wouldn't stumble on maintenance. You are truely an inspiration. Thankyou. :hugs:

I've been up and down like a yo yo but I think I've got my head back in the right space and I'm on track again. I could run around and burn this off but I have to get my eating right.
