i'm just starting the Deric Longden book, Radio Times Take 1. i read Deric Longden's TailPieces a while ago, and loved his writing so much that i decided i'd work my way through all of his available writing. great author with a wonderful sense of humor and very witty. lately i don't find the time to get involved in/follow full length novels, so these books of short story length individual story chapters work out perfect for me.

I'm slowly but surely working my way through John Bradshaw's Cat book.  Now about 2/3 of the way through.  I also just read Murikami's The Strange Library which has just been pulished here in the UK.

I really love these threads!  I've been introduced to so many excellent books and authors; ones that i never would have discovered on my own.

I'm still reading James Rollins'  The Blood Gospel.  I was mistaken earlier in the other thread when i said it took 25% of the book to figure out that it was about vampires and the church. It was more like 1/3 of the book.  I'm about 50% through and it feels like a mix of The Davinci Code meets Dracula meets The Pope.  Kind of weird!  I'll finish it and see how it goes. It's a whole series, so maybe it gets better.

 QUOTE: Winchester

I read most of the House of Night series; my GF from Connecticut gave me everything she had and I devoured them. But I think there are a few books out now that I haven't read. I should probably see where I left off and look for some new ones.

Has anybody ever read the Pendergast series by Lincoln Childs and Douglas Preston? It starts out with Relic (which was also a movie, BTW) and it's a good series. I think there are 15 books total. I recommend the series, if you've not read the books yet.
Pulling over a quote from the previous thread!

I have read all of The House of Night series.  The final book of the series has been released.  I really loved the books, but I have to admit that in the last 3 or so, the main character, Zoey, was overly Narcissistic.

I do have most of Lincoln CHilds and Douglas Preston's books, but haven't read them yet.  I by the time I catch up on my "to read list", one of my favourite author's has published so I start the vicious cycle again!

MicknSnicks2mom, I love Deric Longden's writing! He can weave a whole little story about the most odd things.
Find his "The Cat Who Came in From the Cold"
That's actually the first of his cat stories about his cats.
Happy reading !

I posted this in the 2014 thread, but thought I'd re-post for anyone who missed it, as it is my favourite series ever, and I highly recommend it if you like historical romances.

Written by Phillipa Carr, who also went by Victoria Holt, the series (Daughters of England) starts in 1523 and continues to the 1940s (WWII).  The main character in each book is a daughter from the previous book and is historical without being all about the history.  The romance plays a small role and is just part of the story, and is at least PG rated, but probably even G rated.

I've just started reading "Wronged" by Sylvia McDaniel.  It's another freebie from Kobo.

Just finishing 'The Caller' - the third in a trilogy of a very well written kid's fantasy by Australian author Juliet Marillier. It's a nice read.

Then for something completely different, 'Where Song Began' by Tim Low... a Christmas gift that looks interesting.

Two sites for reading information that are quite good, We had them somewhere, but I don't remember where and they're worthy of a re-post. If you're an avid reader and am always looking for new authors and books by your favorite authors, check these sites out. Bookmark them, too; you won't be sorry!

Started Gideon's Sword by Preston and Child. I started the Gideon series out of order and should have read this one first.

On my Nook, Delicious and Suspicious by Riley Adams, a bit of murder fluff that I doubt I shall finish. It's kind of stupid.
