I started my workouts over again today. I finished my 21 day fix and took a little break from working out but started again today. I did total body cardio today, that one is rough especially for the first workout.

I did scooter engine rebuild, it was +27C (around 80F) day and I really can't tolerate that kind of heat too well, even cats decided to stay cool indoors in pleasant +16C (around 60F) as house has not yet warmed up from winter, it has been quite cool summer before this.

However I did engine rebuild at outdoors and it felt like running in more appropriate temperature, even I was mostly sitting and on my knees.

However there was good amount of light so it was bit easier to do that rebuild.

I was hoping to do bicycle ride today, but no time for that.

Today is my rest day and I'm planning on having a long daytime nap. It's a dreary cold day here so a nap will be lovely. :D

Yesterday I did back, biceps and triceps. It's a big end to the week so I pracrastinated until 6pm ish. So silly. I need to stop doing that ;)

Keep going everybody :banana2:

Well, it seems that Thursday was the best time to go horse riding even though it was raining. We had a bad storm that night, loads of trees came down. The monsoon season seems to be going on for ever this year.

I walked for an hour yesterday but I doubt I'll get out today. I'll try and do some yoga later.

Keep going everyone, what ever the weather.

I've got more cleaning to do today :sigh: We've got guests leaving and arriving today, so I'll have a shortish windows in which to clean the holiday cottage. I just hope it's not left in too much of a state :cross:

I'll probably go to the yard later (mucking out etc). I'm really frustrated that I've not been able to take more advantage of the warm weather so far. This must change.

Is regular exercise supposed to make one super tired?
I've heard that it's supposed to make one more energetic, etc but since I started using the fitness center this week I've been exhausted
I'm only using the treadmill for an hour and doing 2.5 mph and vary the incline between 1% and 2%. I've been getting at least 20,000 steps in daily every day, too (treadmill contributes about 7,000 of those steps). I think I'll skip the fitness center today and tomorrow so I can rest.

Everyone is doing a great job

Regular exercise makes me super tired LTS3 LTS3 , but that's fibromyalgia for you [emoji]128533[/emoji] I find that after a while my body adjusts and then it does give me more energy - especially certain yoga sets.

If you feel you need some time out, take it. You've been doing so well that you've definitely earned a couple of rest days

I didn't make it to the yard today - the cleaning finished me off! Besides, Pixie (greyhound) wasn't well enough to go go the yard, and needed me here to console him. Will do better tomorrow.

Thanks Columbine
Maybe I'm just doing too much. I'll take a step back and see if that helps.

If you went from zero or close to it to 20,000 steps quickly, your body hasn't had much of a chance to adjust to the pace and it's telling you so. 20,000 steps is a lot to just jump into, when you're not used to it, no matter what kind of shape you're in or how old you are.

4 miles on the treadmill this morning. (I was lazy over the weekend, well, not really lazy, but it was one of those weekends, where from the moment I got out of bed, it was busy, busy, busy. I need to make this more of a priority again.)

Keep it up, everybody!

26km bicycle trip on loose crushed stone, it was slow, it was quite heavy, burned 1300kcal on that trip and it was impossible to stay on my target heart rate, I was doing 120-149 while my goal was to stay below 110, oh well, maybe next time I manage to do slow workout.

On top of that I did about an hour worth of firewood tossing, I took those that were mostly dry and put them under the roof, next I need to do more splitting, but when weather permits.

@LTS3, I have found out that sometimes taking week or two off will improve more than pushing hard for that week or two, that when body feels heavy and generally loss of energy tells me that it is time to not do anything for a week or two, after that it surprises me how much energy I have, steepest hills don't feel steep at all with my bicycle.

It is some kind of regenerating thing, but when taking too much time off my muscles start to ache, kind of small pain and very stiff, then I know to get moving again, difficult to find perfect balance, but those kind of feeling are guiding me, not sure how correct or proper way that is, but I do manage somehow that way.

Also there is other guidelines, after workout one should feel energetic, if one feels tired, then workout was too hard.

I did start from 3km bicycle trips and I was quite tired after such distance on snow riding, it was ridiculous how little I could do at first, but as I did follow those guidelines more or less, I did improve quite quickly.

Sometimes it is bit too difficult to stop workout so soon, when one gets that great mood it is very easy to overdo workout, I constantly do so and then I need to take time off to recover again, maybe some day I learn or my fitness catches will of my mind :D

@LTS3  I haven't found any inexpensive pedometers here. So I'll have to look some more.

I continue to try to reach 5,000 steps a day, though with a busy and full schedule I usually fall short to 3,000
or so. I try to play as much as I can with the kitties so I'm sure I'm "exercising" somewhat.

Great job everyone else! Skiing, weight lifting, horseback riding, dance (?) / exercise classes! Everyone;s doing so much which is one of the main reasons I don't post a lot here since I only "walk" and play with the kittens.

Keep up the great work everyone!

I gradually got up to 20,000 steps. I started the walk challenge just after Memorial Day and slowly increased my steps over the next few weeks. I went way over my recommended stage 1 target of 10,000 steps. My recommended stage 2 step was 17,441 but I've done way more than that so far. I've been aiming for around 20,000 steps daily for the past week just to keep my "lifestyle score" up and to keep the overall team average up.

I skipped the fitness center this weekend so I could rest. I went this morning for about 2 miles on the treadmill. Then I had an after dinner stroll. Feeling less tired today
Catching up on sleep helped, too.

I did my cardio workout from the 21 day fix today plus went for a walk. Pushing 2 kids in a double stroller that has a bag full of library books in the heat was quite the workout.

I walked for an hour on Saturday, took a day off on Sunday, an hour walk and an hour of yoga yesterday and just finished an hour of yoga now. I really want to go for another walk this afternoon, even if it is raining.

@LTS3  how far, in miles or in minutes, is 20,00 steps?

I did my legs and chest on Sunday.
Monday I did my back and shoulders.
On Friday I started to get a slight toothache and by Monday night it was terrible. My dentist had a cancellation this morning (tues). The tooth was extracted. The procedure was not painful but boy has it been throbbing since. Needless to say I did no exercise today.

You all keep working hard at it :lol3:
I reckon I'll be back at it tomorrow.

1 mile is about 2,000 steps. The recommended 10,000 steps a day is about 5 miles.

It takes me all day to get 20,000 steps in. More active people can get in at least twice that many steps in the same amount of time.

Oh dear. I've had 2 upper molars in the past removed and the recovery was pretty quick and painless. The tooth yesterday was a lower molar. Yikes it's painful ( under control with meds- thank goodness) and I just feel crappy.
No exercise for me today :bawling:
You all need to do a little more for me please

I see. I worked out the walk I do is just under 6 miles, then there are all those extra steps pushing the vacuum around and going up and downstairs every time I forget something.

I didn't get a walk yesterday as it was pouring. This monsoon is going on for ever this year.

Just finished an hour of yoga.

@Tammat  if it's too wet to walk I'll run up and down the stairs a couple of times for you. Hope you're feeling better soon.
