Blacking out and waking with new pains in various parts of body? All those mornings I woke up thinking it had been the drink, turns out I was doing burpees and didn't know it?! ;)

It could be so, do you have faint memories of trying to get up before passing out? Then it surely was those burpees :D

I did continuous cardio today. 10 mins of short distance sprints, in between exercises. 20 lunges, 15 squat thrusts and 10 squats. A short break and then another 10 mins of the same with 10 squats, 15 burpees and 20 lunges in between short sprints.

Burpees are an excellent fat burning exercise.

Keep working everybody. Well done

Oh, a burpee looks a lot like a basic sun salutation, except a sun salutation will have a downward dog pose held for five inhalations in the middle. I do 10 sun salutations with downward dog pose and 10 sun salutations with a warrior pose and a downward dog pose every time I do yoga.

This is the basic one, Sun Salutation A

@JTbo  I think the climate you are in affects how well you can do yoga. I'm really stiff in the winter, but I keep doing my basic yoga routine so that I can do more advanced stuff in the warmer months. Try stretching after a sauna, it's much easier when your muscles are warm.

Today I did 45 minutes of yoga and a 45 minute walk

My black cat decided to be difficult today, he did not want to get back indoors after visiting outdoors, it was -15C when I let him out and -22C when I finally got him in.

That did require me to walk to other side of house to check if he had gone under the warehouse and gone exploring which he had not, then I knew based on area where there were fresh tracks that he must be inside the warehouse, I had to visit 3 times the warehouse and finally climb up to shelves to find him hiding there.

That was in total maybe 300 meters of walking and there are two shelves up to around 3 meters of height that I needed to climb up.

I'm totally exhausted and sweating more than after 2 hours of flat out bicycling during summer heat.

I would of preferred resting over workout, but as all cat owners know, cats have this secret ability to create some extra to your day. My black cat does not have thick winter coat like others, so I can't let him be outside very long, others will probably be ok, even if being outside whole winter as there is insulated shelter inside the warehouse that they can use in emergency.

However it was many times more than I could do two days ago, also slime is getting loose so maybe I'm getting better, magnesium seems to help quite a bit, it gives nice warm wave trough body after few minutes and removes feeling of cold.

Cats most certainly do have an ability to create some extra to our days!!! Perhaps black ones are the worst??!!
Today I did burpees, push up/ shoulder touch, squat thrusts and prisoner lunges. 10 reps of each continuos for 15 mins then 100 sit ups.

Glad to hear you are getting better JTbo.
Keep going everybody

That sounds like a horrible dose of the 'flu.

Mr Husband always rides Sou Chan.

Sou Chan cooling off with a roll in the mud.

The ground was frozen and it's really icy in places so we couldn't charge around like we usually do. It's still fun though. Admittedly Tsuki Kage did most of the work this afternoon, but it felt like it was pretty good exercise.

Off to soak my weary old bones in a hot bath now.

I had to visit in a shop as I had nothing to eat, so using shortest route possible that was 8km of bicycling in fever. It took me almost an hour to ride to shop as wind was against and it is uphill mostly, coming back took around 40minutes, usually I can ride both directions in 40mins total. There were also moments when I felt that I will not make it, but somehow managed to do the trip.

Pretty stars, but cold, -19C and with windchill that was -24C, however it was worth it, I got some orange juice and after drinking it I feel much better, I think it must be over a week since I got any vitamin-C, so I was running low on that.

Norachan, riding is a form a sports, I think. For sure I know that one need to have some physical abilities to ride fast, so certainly that must count :D

Welcome catlove15 :wavey:

Today I really didn't want to do cardio. I decided not to and then looked at the back of my legs and butt in the mirror and off I went.
I did 1/4 oval sprints/ runs and exercises at each point - squats, squat thrusts, burpees and lunges. The first lap 12 reps of each exercise then 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2. Then I did 50 burpees, 50 squat thrusts and 100 sit ups.
Keep going everybody

Nice to have you with us @catlove15

@JTbo  I think you deserve a medal for cycling all that way when you're sick. One of my yoga teachers used to recommend a drink made of hot water, lemon juice, honey, grated ginger and a small pinch of cayenne pepper. It's great for colds and stuffy noses.

I woke up this morning with aching arms and back and a stiff neck. Had I been doing burpees in my sleep? I think it's more likely to be the result of trying to hold on to Tsuki Kage while she was going,

MUST......RUN.....FASTER!!!!

Just one hour of yoga and 30 minutes bike ride today

I didn't manage to do any walking today as it's snowing heavily and I'm not as hard core as JTbo.

90 minutes yoga this morning (my arms are strong enough to do firefly pose again) then 30 minutes shovelling snow this afternoon and evening.

Firefly pose, if anyone is interested.

I can't do it as beautifully as she can.

Gorgeous day today. Cold and breezy, but the sun was shining.

3.5 miles walking during lunch today.

Well done everybody
I took a rest day yesterday. I did a warm up but then I just didn't have it in me. Today I did 1/4 oval sprints and 1/2 oval jogs for 20 mins plus 100 sit-ups.
I'm now having 2 rest days and then I'm back to weight training.
Keep going ;)

It's good to have a day off now and again.

It snowed so much yesterday that I had to help Mr Husband dig his car in to the car port last night them out again this morning. Then the snow brought down a tree which took out a few power lines so the whole village was blacked out from 10 pm till 6 am this morning.

It was beautiful weather today though. I did 20 minutes of snow shovelling then a 90 minute walk.

We got again 10cm more snow, this new addition was quite wet and then it even throw in bit of water for a good measure. Before that we got 10cm dry snow, which I could not move because the flu.

I decided not to move that snow as I still have little bit of fever, instead I walked over it in tiny sideways steps, so that snow did compact, it was quite hard to do that in my condition, moving snow would of been impossible.

Cat's don't care, they are just happy when they don't need to swim in deep snow, there is so much of it that they can't really see much from those paths, even I can't see them in those paths unless I'm quite near. Something around 55cm of snow now as water has made snow cover bit less.

Maybe next week I can attempt skiing which I wanted to do before getting sick. That is if temperature does not go back to that silly coldness.
