We had 1-1/2 of snow last night and are to get snow showers most of the morning. Right now it's partly cloudy, but really cold. The wind has lessened quite a bit, though. I did bring my walking gear and will really make an effort to get outside today during lunch (I haven't walked since last Wednesday because it just got too crazy cold/windy outside and I simply wasn't going there.)

I just looked out and the parking lot and streets are very snowy. It's so cold that the snow won't be going anywhere anytime soon, so I'll have to wear my YakTrax. But I'll go out.

ETA: 3 miles walked during lunch

Just an hour of yoga so far today but I think I'll need to shovel snow for at least half an hour later. (If it ever stops snowing...........

The snow wasn't so bad after all, it only took me 10 minutes to clear a path, then I went for a nice long walk in the forest.

90 minutes walk today.

It was 13 F when I left for my walk with a wind chill of -2. Walked 3 miles during lunch today. And it's cold out there.

Just 30 minutes walk today. I had Japanese class and my teacher set me lots of homework so my poor little brain is getting the workout today.

I've been slacking off a bit over the past few days.

Saturday: Worked all day, did nothing active.

Sunday  30 minutes of yoga before work then 1 hour walk afterwards.

Today: No actual exercise but a lot of housework and yard work, clearing fallen branches, moving snow, repairing the fence etc

I'll be back tomorrow.

Sorry haven't had time to read all the posts on here so apologies if it has been posted already by someone else...

With 2 young kids my wife and I have struggled to keep any form of exercise going but we have just started the '10 minute workout' which seems really good so far, 5 weeks in! Basically you buy these dvds online and follow sets of 120 mins a day, which is something anyone can do. No longer do you feel you can't fit it in or you're too tired because its only 10 mins. Fingers crossed it's going to keep us motivated!!!

I've really been doing nothing much at all on the weekends. Just can't seem to get motivated to hit the treadmill on Saturday and Sunday morning like I used to do. Since Rick did get his tires for his truck, he drove himself to work this morning. So the plan was for me to get up with him this morning at 5:00 and I'd hit the treadmill. Well, that didn't happen. I stayed in bed and fell back asleep. (It was much warmer in bed than it would have been in that cold basement; that's my story anyway.)

I need to get back on track (or on tread, as the case may be). I do do things on the weekend, but it's house stuff and laundry, things like that. No real exercise.

Tammat, how's your cold? Are you feeling better?

I'm on the exercise bike as I type. I hate it though. LOL. Too many sidewalks aren't shoveled though and people have been getting hit when they walk in the street. :(.

I managed 90 minutes of yoga this morning and then a 90 minute walk this afternoon.

The snow is starting to melt! I got really muddy on my walk but never mind, spring is coming.

Well, I bought a old cheap scooter and have been zoomed here and there with it, also I did dismantle it to parts and build back together which was at least bit of limb movement, so I have not had my daily exercises and I have to kick myself because of that...

I read how you others have been so active that I felt bit bad and I really have to get back into saddle, bicycle saddle that is, but today I have too much duties, must be tomorrow morning then :D

2.5 miles walked during lunch....into town to go to the coffee shop and then back to work.
That's a good idea, a nice cup of coffee as a reward for your hard work.

One hour of yoga this morning and 30 minutes bike ride this afternoon.

That's where I buy my k-cups for the Keurig. (I can't believe there's a store just for k-cups. And I can't believe the crazy business they do!). I had used my last k-cup on Tuesday morning, so decided to walk into town from work and buy more.

Norachan, I envy you your bike rides. You live in such a beautiful area that just taking a walk has to be gorgeous!

3 miles walked during lunch today. It's about 23 F with little wind. Not a bad day. Who would have ever thought that 23 F would seem warm???

Thanks for thinking of me Pam. I reckon it was a sinus infection that is still hanging around. I'm not miserable my energy levels are just a bit up and down.
Sorry I haven't been posting. I have indeed been exercising every day except Saturday and Sunday coz a girl has to rest some time!!
I actually did work extremely hard in my garden on Sunday. I did hedge trimming up and down a ladder and general tidying up. It was hot and dry and I think that set my sinus off a bit. Anyway I did my chest bi and abs plus FARTLEK running on Monday. Tuesday I had a big nap and did FARTLEK again. Wednesday I did my back triceps and shoulders- boy that was exhausting!! Thursday I did FARTLEK again and I was a lot slower towards the end. Today is Friday here and I did legs with my trainer so of course that was easy- Not ;) I then went to do more FARTLEK. I warmed up and then some school kids came to play cricket on the same oval so I decided to call it a week. I'm happy with my efforts.

You guys have been rockin it  well done. I saw some pictures of frozen waves on the TV today!! Unbelievable. I hope you get relief soon. Our summer has been a bit of a fizzer. Not many hot days at all. The mornings are colder now too so autumn is on its way. It's my favourite season. Winter is far from my favourite. It's just blah!! And that's without snow.

Keep going. Don't stop:sheep:

K-cups are the best. I had them for the first time when I went to New York last summer. I wonder if they sell them over here?

One hour of yoga yesterday.

90 minutes walk and one hour of yoga today.

Glad to have you back @Tammat
