Congrats, Pat!

I got the snow shoveled off my roof today. HUGE relief!
I can imagine!  I have to say, one possible place to someday live, was within an hour of Boston.  I now think not..lol.

TY!  It makes for an easy to remember anniversary.  and since my wedding anniversary isn't until October, gives an excuse for two celebrations well spaced!

I almost hugged a worker from our highway department yesterday. My husband and I had planned on digging out the storm drain near our house today before the rain comes overnight. It is at least four feet from what the plow cleared and under feet upon feet of snow. A bulldozer came down the street yesterday and cleared it! :woohoo: That saved us SO much work!

My puppy held his pee while we were at dinner, and when I got home and took him out, you could tell he'd waited.

That is definitely a big deal for me, because I'm worried our jobs are keeping us from getting him properly house-trained & that it will never happen...so any step in the right direction is positive for me! :lol3:

My husband's tax return will be in tomorrow and we can pay off our new mattress. Hopefully it can be delivered quickly.

Yesterday I found a framed cross stitch picture that I couldn't find for around nine years! It was hidden behind lots of things in the cellar.

One day last week, when I got up, the heat was off in our house. Everything was okay at the breaker box. We had the fireplace in the living room, so we made sure that was on while we waited for the repair man. We were so glad to hear, "It is fixable", and within a short time it was indeed fixed. So glad we did not have to replace one of the units.

I got a new mattress too. I love my husband dearly but I just can't sleep in the same room as him. I am the worlds lightest sleeper and he is a snorer. I wake if he so much as rolls over. We moved some rooms around and now I have my own room and my husband has his own room across the hallway from me. We are both having a wonderful nights sleep. In the process of moving rooms around I have organised and cleaned out cupboards and given the whole house a good thorough clean. The cats have found the whole process very fascinating ;)

I have a lot of trouble sleeping in the same room as my husband too. I don't get much sleep though, between his snoring and my 2 kids.

I guess a positive is that I have happy, healthy children who love their mommy and daddy so much that they don't want to be away even to sleep.

Oh yes our happy, healthy children love us so much too. We have been sleeping with children in our bed or one kid in the big bed with my husband and me in the kids room in a single bed with a kid and two cats. We have been swapping sleeping arrangements for ten years now. There is a kid in my new lovely bed right at this very moment!!!! :lol3: I believe they eventually stay in their own beds when they are teenagers.

What's positive in my life...Asha's arrival has to be the big one, despite her current health problems. My greyhound is deigning to eat again :woohoo: so that's another big positive.

The other is that it's finally getting warmer, which means that it won't be too long before I'll be able to spend time riding (and arguing with  ) my exmoor pony again.

That's all that springs to mind. Is it sad that the positives in my life are all animal related..? ;)

My daughter won't fall asleep in our bed. She just plays and talks. My son will fall asleep anywhere but he's only 5 months old.

Two little old dogs were surrendered to the shelter a couple of weeks ago, and the male has been a problem, lunging, growling and snapping at people. He was more or less okay with me after a few days, but he really surprised me this morning by jumping up on my lap and snuggling.

Those two break my heart.

The fluid they removed from the bump on Swanie's ear came back with no sign of cancer, and I was so relieved because I thought for sure it was bad.  (That doesn't mean we are totally out of the woods, but vet no longer thinks we have to be "super aggressive" and they may not have to take too much of his ear off to get the lump off). (Surgery is Monday).

Jasmine has decided to curl up with me right beside me at night. I love the feel of her fur and hear her purr during the night.

Most of the snow is gone.

My brother in law pulled through his triple by-pass heart surgery. Thank god.
