I hope she's older now, because the kitten in that picture is too young to leave her mother. If that's a recent picture, ask if the breeder will keep her until she's AT LEAST 8 weeks old, 10-12 weeks would be even better. Kittens learn valuable lessons from their mothers in those weeks. Any decent breeder will be willing to keep the kittens as long as necessary.

The only way to know for sure if a cat is purebred is if he/she is registered with a respectable purebred cat registry. If the cat isn't registered, what you see is what you get. That kitten's legs do look shorter than normal but it's hard to tell much in such a young kitten. It may become more obvious as the kitten gets older.

There are standart and non-standart munchkins. The standart is recognized by the short legs this kitten also seems to have.

But most importantly is the pedigree; to be absolutely sure you are buying a munchkin kitten that has been tested properly, and has been bred with uttermost caring, make sure the breeder is registered with a respectable cat association and the kitten has a pedigree.
