I left the room for just a moment and I came back and my cat was licking the straw to my dust off cleaner for my computer. Should I be worried. What do I need to look for? Do I need to take her to the emergency vet?

My Bear Kitty does this all the time. But she chews them into tiny pieces, thankfully she doesn't eat it. But none of my dust off cans have any straws. :(

She's survived 3 or 4 straws so your kitty should be just fine.

We now hide the straws in drawers, along with all thin wires another favorite of hers.

I don't understand. Licking a straw? Did she eat it?
Dust Off is one of those compressed canned air cleaner things that you spray onto keyboards and other electronic equipment to remove dust and debris. A straw is usually included to get into small crevices and nooks. I'm not sure what exactly is in Dust Off but probably any number of chemicals. The straw may contain traces of the chemicals.

I don't think an ER visit is necessary right now. But do keep an eye on the cat for the new few days for any potential signs of illness.
