Is my cat pregnant?

Hello everybody Im new at having cats as pets, and one day a feral (well she just came, not sure if its stray or feral) female cat came to my house, she was sick and hurted, so we helped her and gave her food.
Now its a beautiful cat but she has been eating too much, suddenly I noticed her belly was kinda big. But because Im not an expert about cats I can´t tell if she´s pregnant or not :O 
And we can´t take her to the vet because she may scape.

Help me please, I really want to know if she´s pregnant so I can take care of her properly

                      

Nope doesn't look like it, that's normal nipple size. Her belly is getting bigger because she was lucky enough to have you provide a loving home and lots of food!!!

It doesn't seem like she's pregnant. Her nipples are, from what I can see, not bright pink. She isn't showing a lot of belly either, she's just being a very healthy cat who is probably enlightened with all the food you are giving her!

But you should still keep an eye on her, just in case. Because even though to us she doesn't seem pregnant, you know your cat best. If it's different than normal, and if you think her behaviour is diffent and she's eating more than usual, it can still be possible.

How and why?  You take her with you in a carrier (or some sort of field carrier alike an laundry bag).  And the vets are used to shy cats who plans to escape if they can, and can handle the situation.  Besides, cats are usually submissive in that situation.  But if you do worry, make sure the door to the vets room is closed, when you are inside there.

That said, I cant say it never happens.   It befell me myself, my oldest resident escaped during a vet visit.  Was found three days after.... Long story short, but it was after this occasion I got interested in actively helping homeless and even ferales... And thus also pregnants and kittens.  Partly to thx for the saving of this dear life, and partly, because I discovered there were apparently quite a lot of dumped and homeless cats just around our village.  Dumping was not only something done in the USA, but apparently also in my loved Sweden....    *sadly smile*

OK, I agree with the others, she is probably not pregnant now, although the nipples doesnt always gets rosy, so its just a 99% proof.

Also, its natural for healthy cats to have some meat on them.  Its just some pure breed  in show condition whom shall be slender and gracile. 

But if she is yet unspayed, its best to spay her in the long run.  Not just because of the risk she may sneak out while in heat  (where do you think Houdini has learned his tricks??), but also, to be fertile and go in empty heats time after another isnt healthy to them.

So spaying, although not totally riskfree, is really the best bet, if the vet is any decent one.
