Gassy kitty

I already asked a question about sleeping but, I am a new kitty momma and don't know a lot about some of this. My kitten is about 8 weeks old and I have had him about a week. He is constantly passing gas and it stinks. This is especially bad at night when he wants to sleep with me. Sometimes I think it hurts him cuz he will kind of jerk a little and then I will smell it.  I got him the same food the lady who gave him to me was feeding him so, he hasn't changed his diet in a few weeks (since he started eating solid food) Should I go ahead and change his food to something else? Or mix it with something? Or water it down? Right now he is eating Purina Kitten food.

Has he been dewormed?

Probiotics may help?

I'm thinking along the same line as Stewball. An 8wk old kitten with lots of gas usually indicates worms. I'd go get your new kitten looked over by a vet (perhaps even bring in a stool sample), and get him/her dewormed.
